You are an idiot.

"Santa" is Latin for "Saint".

As in "Santa Maria", "Santa Barbera", "Santiago" (San Diego)...

Are THOSE all anagrams for satan, too?

Actually, the holiday called "Yule" or "Jul" is a northern European pagan
festival, not Babylonian...

But the northern European pagans were not unique...at the time of
Christ, almost all cultures of the northern hemisphere had some sort of
festival at the time of the shortest day of the year

Almost all Biblical scholars agree that Christ's birth would have been in
autumn, not spring...in which case, He conceivably was conceived on or
about December 25th...

Considering that Saint Nicholas, from which we get the corruption "Santa
Claus", wasn't born until centuries after Christ's death, Christ could
hardly have preached against him...

Again, how could Christ have preached against Saint Nicholas (a Saint of
Christ's very own religion), when Saint Nicholas wouldn't even be born
for a couple of more centuries?

> SANTA CLAUS WEARS SCARLET

So does the Pope.

But actually, a scarlet suit is only Thomas Nast's invention of the
1880s...prior to his popular drawings, Santa Claus was usually depicted
as a Catholic Saint, in white robe and mitre, or as a 'jolly old elf' in
vaguely Germanic mountain dress, which was rarely red....

Then you are saying that all saints are satan, because 'santa' is Latin
for 'saint'...

Except lambs WEREN'T being born at that time. We are told that the
shepherds were out in the fields with the flock, something they wouldn't
have done if it was lambing season. The shepherds brought the herds back
to town in winter, and didn't bring them out to the fields until AFTER
lambing in the spring...

In the heat of summer, they moved the flocks up into the hills and
mountains, where it was cooler, the grass didn't dry up like it did down
in the fields, and the water was plentiful. They moved the flocks back
down to the fields in autumn...

People didn't travel in spring, either, when the roads were muddy at best
from melting snow and spring rains -- that is, if the road wasn't washed
out completely...neither would they travel in summer, if they could avoid
it, due to the heat and lack of water...travel, especially with a
pregnant women, would have been undertaken in the autumn or winter...

Herod gave his subjects up to a year to report to their places of birth
for the census, so Joseph and Mary would have waited until the beginning
of autumn to travel to Bethlehem, when both the roads and the weather
were good, and would not have risked traveling in the spring, when the
weather and the roads were bad....

>It was NOT in December, the seasonal time of death.

And rebirth.

And indeed, is not THAT the message of Christ?

Lambs were never born in the fields, where it would be too difficult to
protect them from predators, rather they were born when the flocks were
stabled in town...the flocks were only brought out to the fields well
AFTER lambing, when the lambs were strong enough to keep up with the
flock...

But the shepherds didn't KEEP the flocks in the fields in spring,
because the fields would have been more mud than grass...rather they just
used the fields to pass thru on their way to taking the flocks to the
hills...the only time shepherds 'slept with their flocks in the field'
was in autumn, when they had brought the flocks down from the hills, and
before they brought the flocks within the town gates for winter...

>inspired. Satan is a Hebrew word that means "the Opposer"

I believe it means "the accuser", quite a different thing...
