These two don't pass the smell test!
1. Your worst fears about politicians' attempts to use the Internal Revenue
Service for vengeance purposes have now been confirmed.
The Associated Press has reported that Members of Congress and Clinton White
House officials have caused the IRS to audit tax-exempt organizations that
disagree with them.
The IRS says it bases its audit decisions solely on whether there's evidence
of wrongdoing.
2. House Democratic Whip David Bonior (D-MI) has confirmed that, should
Democrats regain control of the House of Representatives, they will reinstate
the patently unconstitutional rule that allows delegates and commissioners
from the District of Columbia and the territories and commonwealths -- Puerto
Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa -- to vote on the House
floor. All five of them are currently Democrats.
