I am forwarding this from another list. It gives Mr. Z's name and some
additional insight on the films validity through an assesment by a special ops
person that actually saw the film before it was removed from the website.

Dear Rumor Mill News Readers,
As usual, Rumor Mill News was ahead of the pack. One of our Rumor Mill News
agents, posted the Assault video on the Forum on November 19th. It is just
now being written about in other news outlets. Here is the original post. You
can still pull it up on the Forum.
MILITARY ASSAULT--TIMES SQUARE--NEW YEARS EVE (views: 297) Cracker -- Friday,
19 November 1999, at 9:19 p.m.
After trying to view the video many different times, unsuccessfully, I posted
this comment to the Forum., in answer to the only person who had been able to
view it:

Noah,
You are the only one who seems to have been able to view the video.
Just listening to it, it sounds like Bruce Willis and some Hollywood
production.
If this is a hoax, someone went to a lot of trouble making it.
Could it be the outakes of tonight's Y2K television movie? Could this have
been a scene they decided to leave out of the movie?
Of course, for all I know, this scene was in the movie. (NBC's Y2K Sunday
night movie It hasn't yet shown in California)
I wish I could believe completely that this is one of the elaborate hoaxes
that goes around the Internet all the time, but there is a nagging little
doubt.
The doubt is there because this would be just like the NWO to stage a racial
incident like a white woman being attacked by black men in Times Square. This
incident would be used to bring about planned chaos and martial law.
Until someone with black ops experience listens, watches and comments on this
tape, I am going to put it in the class of elaborate Internet hoaxes.

I wanted to know what a special ops man would think of it. Here is his
response.

Rayelan,
I watched/listened to the video file.
Since 1992 I have been expecting Kissingers "real or promulgated threat" to
probably be "promulgated". However, my personal and professional evalutation
of the content of the tape is: IT IS BULLSHIT!
Notwithstanding intent, please note the following observations:
1. The format of the "briefing" does not corresond with a military
Operations Order, an NC Frag Order, or even a Brief Back.
2. It does not outline in military terms "Situation, Mission, Execution,
Concept of Operation, Admin and Logistics or Command and Signal" all of
which are integral necessary parts of such a briefing.
3. The gratuitous use of "de de mow" (a vietnamese phrase for 'bugging out')
is an anachronism considering the probably age of the troops who probably
weren't born during Viet Nam.
4. The New York dialect and video footage suggests to me a locally produced
shock piece.
5. Although it might make for a cool TV movie scene, it is a lousy briefing
for a team tasked with what is implied. No reference to organization
(Assault team, support team, etc). No designated Objective Rallying Point.
No recognition signals or ANY communication necessities.
Bottom line: It is Bogus and not well done.
Then again, that's just MY opinion.........as Dennis Miller says "I could be
wrong" (but I don't think so).
Best,
--Geoff

Geoff,
Have you seen the video on the ASSAULT ON TIMES SQUARE?
If you haven't seen it, can you pull it down and look at it. Someone put it
on my Rumor Mill News Forum. Needless to say, it is causing quite a stir.
It appears a black ops SOG is being trained to mingle with the crowd in
Times Square this new year's eve. It also appears that they are african
americans.
at one point the briefer states, at ?? time, the girl will be stripped and
screaming" ...the girl is white.
at the end, the briefer states, something to the effect of, "If we do a
good job, the civilians aren't going to have any choice but to call us in." I
imagine the "us" is the army.
If you have already heard this. What do you think? I think it sounds like
an out take of some planned Y2K movie... maybe even the one tonight.
I would appreciate you comments.

Not many people who have followed the government's and hoaxers attempts to
spook us were fooled by this video.... But, even the most jaded of us agree
that such a scenario is a possibility, especially when you take into account
that it would be coming from the guys at the top of the pyramid....
Here's the real scoop on the video

Mike Zieper wanted to tap into current passions with his video art. To do it,
he made a grainy, gray tape in which a faceless narrator prepares his
soldiers to unleash a government-sponsored riot in Times Square at midnight
2000.
The plan: to create chaos so federal troops have an excuse to move in.
Weird thing was, after Zieper posted the video clip on his Web site, the
troops did move in.
"This FBI agent called," said Zieper. "He said, 'There are a lot of people
planning to vacation in New York this year, a lot of them are coming to your
site and they're getting scared. I want to talk to you about how we can stop
people from coming to this site.'"
Zieper called a lawyer and didn't pull the site. So both the FBI and the US
Attorney's Office went upstream to Zieper's Web hosting company, BECamation
in Michigan, and asked that Zieper's site be pulled. There was no threat of
legal action, but BECamation president Mark Wieger complied.
"We didn't want to take any chances with our business, so we pulled it down,"
Wieger said.
In doing so, Wieger pulled a lever that let loose a virtual riot among
free-speech advocates. After the Village Voice published a piece about the
incident, online message boards erupted in protest. Now the American Civil
Liberties Union is considering a lawsuit on Zieper's behalf.
"We think, certainly, that it's very improper for the FBI to be harassing an
Internet hosting company to take down content that may be disturbing, but is
certainly protected by the First Amendment," said ACLU staff attorney Ann
Beeson.
The FBI did not respond to a request for comment.
Meanwhile, the video itself has been copied and posted on numerous mirror
sites.
It's a hit beyond anything Zieper could have anticipated. Reality has woven a
fresh, relevant, scene into the video's fiction and given it a nice buzz. A
grand slam for a struggling artist.
"If this gets people to look at all this stuff seriously, that's fantastic.
That's exactly what I wanted to do," Zieper said.
That doesn't mean he's not upset, particularly on behalf of Mark Wieger,
who's been besieged by vicious flame emails decrying his decision to pull
Zieper's site.
"They're saying, 'Why didn't you stand up for the Constitution?'" Zieper
said. "I think that's very easy to say from afar, but when the knock comes
for you it's a terrifying experience. They tried to infer that he best get
out of the way."
That has Zieper wondering what else the FBI is up to. "I hope this is just an
aberration," he said. "I hope that they review the constitution back at the
FBI and don't try to do anything like this again."
