-Caveat Lector-
I have found some intriguing similarites about "Conspiracy Theories" as I
surfed the net for the past few years. One is that the various lists dedicated
to conspiratorial reviews tend to become dominated by one or more of the
various fringe elements of current society. Many of the lists will have the
same reports but they are then filtered through the looking glass of the
dominating element. Often societal groups that would otherwise disagree with
one another will unknowingly be in agreement about the essence of the
conspiracy news and reports. It is also interesting that many of the various
people groups are accusing each other of being the conspirators.
George W. Bush seems to have disfavor with everyone. There are so many reports
of misdeeds that there has got to be something behind the veil.
-Ex CIA and millitary groups see both the current administration and the
congress as misguided boobs at the controls that are undermining national
security for the sake of their own politiical careers. They see all the other
elements of society as people blowing every event out of proportion for their
own hysterical or political purpose.
-The Enviromental and back to nature types see consumerism and large
corporations and yuppies as the scouge of mankind. (there was just one list
and it had to be seperated because the Christian and New Agers fought each
other more so than their mutual enemy.)
-Predominantly gay lists(there is more than one) dedicated to Conspiracy
discussion beleive that religious fanatics,fascists,and capitalist conspire
against them. They feel they are discriminated against and denied rights that
others have.
Islamic groups believe that (not suprisingly) other religious groups and many
phony corporations actually headed by govt.agencies are the culprits. So are
the immoral values of the west that are forced down their throats.
-Jews beleive that there is an ongoing battle for power that predates medevil
days. It is a power play for both financial and political control. There are
also determined enemies bent on the destruction of their race and their
religion. Christians and Moslems are both big culprits.
-Christian (several)groups beleive that liberal social groups and New Agers
are behind most of their ills. They lament that this was at one time a mostly
Christian Naton that had promised religious freedom for others rather than
have a state religion like England, and that the very people that they made
room for are now trouncing on their freedoms. There are also some that are
alarmed by all the bad done in the name of their God. Much lamenting. Much
betrayal by politicians supposedly allied but now seen as wimps
extraordinaire.New World Order,Third Way,George W.Bush,UN,
Tri-lateralists,ATF,FBI,big corporations that own the media, but most
insidious---spineless moderates.
-Survivalist--also had two divide into seperate groups. Christians and Earth
Changes(New Paradigms)-- The Federal Government and all its agencies and
parties are enemies. Many large corporations ie Monsanto and GUN CONTROLL
people are enemies. They trust neither of the two prevailing political
parties. Both groups beleive the US has been undone from the inside out and
that there is imminent danger.
-Y2K Groups--also had two split up Christians and non. The christian ones want
to stock pile things in the city to distribute to people that have not
prepared. The nons want out of the city completely as they believe martial law
will be imposed and the supplies would be confiscated,or that riots will ensue
and stockplies would be pillaged. {Some }of the Christians view this in light
of the Book of Revelations and disagree as to how severe Y2K will be or that
Armeggedon could take place yet. They think things are bad but not all
prophecy has been fulfilled.(ie.Anti-Christ revealed,new Jewish Temple,)
Expected persecution of Christians has begun, and technology to deliver the
mark or bio-chip is in place. Both groups see the One World Government and
forced One World Religion and the UN as great enemies. All beleive that the
govt. and major corporations are lying. Photos of new concentration camps
built to contain US citizens are sometimes shown.
There are a lot more but I am tired of typing for now. If there is just one
major Conspirator,then all these people may be missing the mark in identifying
it's origins and what is behind it. If the conspiracy is an organized and
planned threat it has either eluded all these people who can not come to any
agreement on who the enemy is, or just one of the many is correct to the
exclusion of the others. If there is a common enemy he has done well in sowing
seeds of so much discord to create diversion and distraction. Or is it
possible that there are several dozen conspiracies going on all at the same
time. Ah, one other explanation could be that not everyone has the same
definition of conspiracy. Perhaps some see any movement of their perceived
enemy as a conspiracy against them." Some do dare call it a conspiracy." It is
just difficult to tell if someone has camaflouged the real threat by creating
dozens of new conspriracy tales and infiltrating these groups or if it is just
popular to declare a conpiracy and meet like minded freinds?
I tend to beleive in the camaflouge and diversion theory. If we expend our
energies in demonizing one another we will never identify the enemy. I am on
too many lists and must unsub from this one and several dozen others. Must go
