Fearmongering to suit globalist political agendas includes CONCERTED
monopoply media attacking everyone in their homes with terror. "THE
TERRORISTS" are the media, and the politicians.

WORD

"Who controls the past," ran the Party slogan, "controls the future: who
controls the present controls the past." And yet the past, though of its
nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true
from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that was needed
was an unending series of victories over your own memory. -- George Orwell,
1984

HIDDEN FACTS ABOUT TERRORISM

Nothing so well illustrates the misinformation the Clinton administration
and media have been spreading about terrorism than a series of charts buried
in the annual report on the subject by the State Department. While past
history is not necessarily predictive of what will happen tomorrow and
adding, say, the TWA 800 crash would change the totals significantly, the
existing data on actual terrorists incidents compiled by State provides a
powerful indictment of White House and media fearmongering. Here is a
summary of the report prepared by Arab-American activist and researcher Ali
Abunimah:

**********

1) TERRORISM WORLDWIDE IS DECREASING SIGNIFICANTLY AND CONSISTENTLY

There has been a significant and consistent downward trend in international
terrorist incidents in the period 1979-1998. In 1998, number of
international terrorist incidents, at 273, was the lowest ever in the
period, and the annual number has shown a consistent downward trend since it
reached a peak of 666 in 1987.

2) THE VAST MAJORITY OF INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST INCIDENTS ARE NOT RELATED TO
THE MIDDLE EAST, MUSLIM "EXTREMISTS" OR ARABS

Since 1995, Latin America has consistently had the highest annual number of
international terrorist incidents of any region, followed by Western Europe.
In 1998 there were 110 attacks in Latin America, 48 in Western Europe and 31
in the Middle East. There were 21 in Africa and zero in North America. In
terms of casualties (deaths+injuries), the highest number have consistently
been in Asia since 1993. In 1998 there were over 5,000 in Africa 635 in
Asia, 405 in Western Europe, 68 in the Middle East and zero in North
America.

3) EIGHTY PERCENT OF ATTACKS AGAINST UNITED STATES TARGETS ARE IN LATIN
AMERICA

Consistently, the vast majority of events defined by the State Department as
"anti-US attacks" occur in Latin America. In 1998, there was a total of 111
anti-US attacks. Eighty seven were in Latin America, 13 in Western Europe, 5
in the Middle East and 3 each in Africa and Eurasia. By far the most common
target of terrorists are businesses. Attacks on diplomats, military or
government installations are relatively rare. The total number of US
fatalities from these attacks in 1998 was 12, all related to the embassy
bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.

4) VERY FEW AMERICANS ARE KILLED BY TERRORISTS

Here are the numbers for the total U.S. Citizen Casualties Caused by
International Attacks, 1993-98. Note that the figures show no upward trend.

1993 7 1994 6 1995 10 1996 25 1997 6 1998 12

CONCLUSION

There is a complete disparity between the facts about international
terrorism as presented by the government on the one hand, and the media,
official and popular response to the issue on the other. There is no
objective connection between the frequency of terrorist attacks originating
from and occurring in the Middle East, and the amount of attention that such
attacks receive. President Clinton and other government officials have
repeatedly defined terrorism as one of the greatest threats facing the
world.

JUST POLITICS

The Gore meltdown in New Hampshire continues. See our chart on the Undernews

MORNING LINE http://www.prorev.com/amline.htm

ASSOCIATED PRESS: Americans don't have much faith in the two-party system to
elect their president, according to a recent poll. Nearly half of all polled
said they want a third-party candidate to run as an alternative to the
Republican and Democratic candidates, and only 23 percent agreed "the two
party system works fairly well." What was most surprising about the poll was
that a possible race between the two candidates considered challengers to
their parties' front-runners - former Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley and
John McCain, Republican senator from Arizona - does not lessen the voters'
desire for a third-party alternative. Faced with a possible contest between
Bradley and McCain - often portrayed as outsiders or mavericks within their
parties - 43 percent of all voters surveyed said they would also want to
have a third-party candidate. Nearly the same percentage - 45 percent - said
they wanted a third-party candidate if they were faced with a race between
Texas Gov. George W. Bush and Vice President Al Gore.

ONE OF THOSE who reportedly will help meet the demand is Ralph Nader,
although the major media don't seem to want to bother their audience with
the fact. This time out, Nader will raise money and campaign in all 50
states and generally run a less ambivalent effort than last time. A draft
committee has been formed headed by Carol Miller, co-chair of the Green
Party of New Mexico, along with Ronnie Dugger, founder of the Alliance for
Democracy and Santa Monica Green councilmember Mike Feinstein.

NEWSMAX: A NewsMax.com/Zogby International poll reveals that if presidential
elections were held today, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton would garner
nearly 25 percent of the vote in a hypothetical three-way race with
Republican George W. Bush and Reform Party convert Pat Buchanan . . . Bush
failed to gain a majority, taking 47 percent of the vote . . . Another 22
percent of those polled said they werent sure for whom they would vote.

CHRISTMAS HANGOVER

Associated Press reports that a shopping mall Santa Claus refused to comfort
a balling 19-month old, allegedly telling his mother, "I will not imprison
your child" Said the mother, "When I went to pick up the baby, he said:
'Was it worth it? Was it worth it for you to torture your child for a
picture? You must be an evil person." After the woman told the Santa he was
not fit to be around children, the man "started to rip off his clothes. He
took off his beard, his wig, his coat, his belt." Security guards took the
dour Santa away.

LOOSE CHANGE

BUSINESSWEEK: But even as the U.S. economy exits the millennium with an
unprecedented bang, there are signs of unease . . . According to a new
Harris Poll commissioned by Business Week, most Americans feel as if the New
Economy's good-'n'-plenty train is passing them by. What the poll and other
surveys show is that, at least in part, the public shares much of the
frustration voiced by those angry demonstrators at the World Trade
Organization meeting in Seattle. Some 52% of respondents said they were
sympathetic to the concerns of the protesters . . . The BW-Harris poll also
found that most Americans believe that business now has too much power.

. . . Indeed, the most striking development in the New Economy for many has
been the end of the 40-hour week: Americans now log more hours on the job
than workers in any other industrialized nation. But growth in real hourly
compensation has dropped from a 4.3% annual rate in the third quarter of
1998 to 2.3% this year. Annual raises will be 4.2% in 1999, down from 5.2%
in 1990.

LOOK WHO'S READY FOR Y2K

BBC: Colombian Marxist rebels have announced they are Y2K ready, unlike the
Colombian government which is scrambling to beat the end of year deadline.
The 17,000-strong Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, which
control almost 40% of the country, have pronounced themselves ready for the
turn of the millennium. According to Juan, the FARC systems manager, based
in the massive guerrilla safe haven granted by the government for peace
talks, the rebel's computers have been upgraded with Windows 2000 and will
slip into the new millennium without a hitch.

WE ARE NOT MAKING THIS UP

REUTERS: Nearly 10 million American teenagers collectively earned $1.05
billion in weekly allowances in 1997, researchers said Wednesday. Based on a
1997 survey of nearly 9,000 children between ages 12 and 18, researchers at
Ohio State University's Center for Human Resource Research said the average
of more than $100 in weekly allowances and other money provided a big push
to the economy because most teenagers have few bills to pay.
