On some, human equivalency has been surpassed already in public research. Private research/black budgets may have surpassed all, already. If not...soon. Now here is a puzzlement for y'all. What happens when super-computers start turning out new languages like hot dogs at baseball games? That glossolalia story about the Tower of Babel is very profound. And it does make you wonder if anybody understands anything. Words we can generate until hell freezes over.....there must be a special dantean hell for Internet babblers. But then isn't that what the US military intended it for and now regulates it for? Pardon my "conspiratorial thinking" but maybe I finally "got it"...are you out there Mimi? During the "Franklin Coverup" investigation I met a lawyer Congressman Dellums had sent to monitor things. Mimi the lawyer tried to teach me to think conspiratorially-she said it was the American way. So try this one out - The Internet will only be free as long as it is not deemed to be a threat by the US military. One psy-op phrase they use is "Influence Technology". That has to do with mass indoctrination. Now imagine you have such a machine babbler which passes the Turing Test. (If they don't have it they will have it soon). One thing you could do with it is turn it loose on lists like Snetnews and CTRL etc. and voila! Attitudes and opinions can be shaped to be politically correct automatically by Internet Robot. Do you really think those are all real people you are "talking" to on the Internet discussions? I don't. I think some are robots. Just logic it out as to what it would take to pass the Turing Test. Then tell me if a computer like Blue Gene could run the program.
