12.31.99 WHY Has World Been Misled Into Thinking New Millennium Begins in 2000?? Does this fact strike anyone other than us as very peculiar?? Granted, the point in time at which one decides to begin counting time itself is really arbitrary. However, according to our Gregorian calendar and to fundamental mathematical standards, the next century and the next millennium, no matter what anybody says, begins at midnight, January 1, 2001. This point is so mathematically elementary it should really require no explanation at all (rug rats understood the principle quite well), except for those unfortunate enough to have suffered excessively from our contemporary American educational system, as well as subsequent massive indoctrination and mental impairment/manipulation due in large part to stupefying "programming" on state-run mass media outlets. However, to repeat our initial thought; is there perhaps something "sinister" in the fact that we have been led to believe the millennium in fact dawns at midnight tonight? People such as researcher/author David Icke have postulated that in fact our entire Gregorian calendar system was "set up" long ago, by certain purportedly malignant controlling forces and entities on Earth, so that the millennium was timed to coincide with tremendously important changes and events that they knew would occur in the greater physical universe. Icke indicates this entire genuinely long-term, fundamental social manipulation of the human race was set in motion for the most diabolical and malicious of reasons--to prevent humanity from having a chance to evolve to a higher, more peaceful, more integrated, more functional, more spiritually aware state of existence: and to prevent us from having a chance to create a social structure upon the earth which is more beneficial, benevolent, positive, functional, fair and such for the greatest possible number of human beings that what has existed up until now. However, even if Icke and others like him are correct, there is no doubt that when you count correctly, the next millennium begins January 1, 2001. NewsHawk Inc.
