The message it sent me was that English gun laws suck and English cops
aren't any likelier to save your ass from a danger than ours are. When you
try to fight off an intruder who knows you haven't a gun you are pretty
damned lucky indeed if all you get out of it is stabbed a few times and
hauled to the ER. If anybody tries a stunt like that in my house I'll blow
his heart out the back door.
