Presumably you're heterosexual (altho the way you protest too much, one
wonders perhaps if you aren't in the closet)...
Were YOU 'recruited' to be heterosexual?
I know I wasn't. I just knew I was a heterosexual...
Every gay person I've known has said the same thing. They were never
'recruited', they just knew they were gay.
As for non-homophobic straights coming from dysfunctional families,
I'd wager more homophobes come from such families than non-homophobes...
