In this case, probably yes, but point of fact, there IS evidence of a
world-wide flood occuring about 12-14,000 years ago, because archeologist
have found evidence of it in the same geological strata at sites around
the world, not just the mideast and southern Europe....it is thought that
it is this flood which has given rise to all the 'flood legends' one
finds in cultures world-wide...
Sedimentary evidence in this strata range in depth from a couple of dozen
yards to 100 or more...suggesting something hugely catastrophic -- dare I
say, 'biblical in proportion' -- definitely something more than a
regional phenomenon...
