From: Brian Downing Quig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I must say that I am at a loss to understand the money laundering mechanism involved in the lengthy mortgage posts of Catherine but I do know that any business that takes in great amounts of cash is (or has been in the past) ideal for money laundering. After all the idea is to mix unaccounted for money in with other money to disguise its source. As I explained in the past, the death of ARIZONA REPUBLIC reporter Don Bolles was a result of two organized crime factions competing for control of race tracks which were the most ideal washing machines in the state. These sports facilities seem to me to be even more ideal for this purpose. I have to be struck by the fact that so many of those who interest us regarding illegal drugs also own sports facilities. In Phoenix in the money game there has been one cardinal rule. The top guy gets to break all the rules. When I came to town it was Ned Warren and his half billion land fraud that was obtaining immunity from the laws that govern us. He was secretly the agent of Kemper Marley. Kemper Marley owned a serious get out of jail card in Phoenix. And then there was Charlie Keating. Marley was saving a million dollars a year via the same mistake that at state treasury that was made for Keating. Now the top dog here is Jerry Colangelo owners of the SUNS basketball. The week that he obtained $350 million in public financing for his BANK ONE BALL PARK he pre sold the concessions for 5 years for $500 million. That is what you call legal crime. When the public would not vote the money Jerry went through the 3 member board of county supervisors to get this money (collected as a 1/2 cent sales tax). One disgruntled tax activist shot mary Rose Wilcox, who carried Colangelo's water, in the ass. When the first news reports came out saying shot in the lower back and then shot in the upper leg it was clear what had happened. This was a very difficult matter for the press to handle. After all the last thing the establishment wanted was a trend where shameless whore politicians were being shot in the ass. Top dog Jerry has made more than $500 million since he has come to Phoenix from Chicago. Could part of that unusual success be you know what money? And it should be noted that the last words of Don Bolles, "Emprise, the mafia, John Adamson. Find him." referred to the company owned by the Jacobs family of New York who is in the concessions business. This last year former AG at the time of the Bolles murder and then governor Burce Babbitt as Interior Secretary conferred the concessions for all national parks to DELAWARE NORTH the renamed EMPRISE CORPORATION. Does anyone smell money laundering there?
