I'll split the series into two parts. The other one deals with conventional
psychology (Abductees and EM Disorders). This one more on parapsychology
(Abductees and PSI Armies).
Well. A lot of arguments from the replies now is about physical evidences
(such as UFO photographs so right now. I'll share Albert Budden research
about it which he deals in one half of his book (which deals with physical
evidences and possible explanations)

POLTERGEIST AND UFO MATERIALIZATION (and PHYSICAL TRACES)

page 77 of the book read:

"By comparing cases, it becomes clear that essentially the same effects
are occuring in close-encounters and hauntings or poltergeists, the only
difference being that of interpretation; one set of witnesses feel that
they are encountering spirits of the dead and the other set, alien
intelligences. It would seem, then, that when houses or buildings are
saturated with ambient electrical fields, poltergeist occur; and when
wider areas in the landscape are electromagnetically affected, UFO
encounters occur.

There is a general rule only, for these cases where houses are obvious
electromagnetic hot spots give rise to UFOs and aliens, but they are
scaled down to fit into a domestic environment. This may seem like a
joke, so bizarre is the effect. I can only refer the reader to the
"Terror in the House of Dolls" case in the final chapter to see that
the family of that house were far from amused to observe a tiny, domed
flying sacuer trailing sparkling 'oofle dust' around the lampshade while
gripped by paralysing electrical forces that sent tingles through their
bodies.

Small pockets of incidents often occur in a large area affected
electromagnetically. I have mentioned that potent hot spots are those
that combine natural and artificial fields. A specific small area, like
a road or a house and the land around it (or the house next door), that
is already affected by local fault-line(s) has these features
"re-energized" when a modern electronic zap is superimposed over the
natural background hum. The Middleton case in Chapter Two is a good
example of this.

Similarly, individuals who are electrically hypersensitive represent an
important set of factors in a "portrait of a zap-zone". Broadly, they act
as sort of 'switching stations' or 'transformers' where the field energy
is 'made' into the high-strangeness phenomenon. These events, that are
filtered by the human system, often at its expense, are termed organic
effects. They are distinct from effects caused directly by charged fields,
which would occur without a 'focus' or 'medium'. A good example of such
direct effects which then tail off with an organic effect in the form of
an apparition/entity comes from the Welsh Triangle. (too long to type)

ANALYSIS OF THE PSYCHIC/PHYSICAL ASPECTS
"This account represents only a small portion of the strange events
the Goulds reported. It indicates that UAPs (the aerial lights),
apparitions, 'flying saucer and spacemen', poltergeist effects and,
apparently, a physical 'craft' were involved.
However, wer are primarily concerned with this latter phenomenon -
the physical 'craft' aspect - for this indicates how undeniably
physical object can be part of a UFO scenerio that is equally
undeniably psychic in nature. This case has been chosen because the
'landed UFO' could not conceivably be the direct consequence of a UAP
as a whirlwind or vortex of electrified particles, as some are, nor
could it be a simple heating or other direct field effect. How, then
could psychic processes possibly produce a very large, landed,
physical craft with bulbous portholes a textured surface, observed
by several witnesses, which, after a few days, vanishes?

The answer is extremely important, because it would reveal how physical,
structured objects could be accounted for in CEs generally, using a
psychic explanation, which the ESH (Electro-Staging Hypothesis) partially
is.

It has already been stated that physical aspects are contained in
poltergeist activity. So, what is it exactly about this type of
phenomenon that is so relevant to the physical aspects of CEs? It has
also been mentioned that poltergeist phenomena constantly occured
throughout the happenings at Middleton, interspersed with the UREs,
and we have seen other cases where they are a common post-encounter
'syndrome'. It is evident that whatever causes poltergeists - or more
technically, recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis, or RSPK - it is
intrinsically involved in many UREs. In order to determine what these
processes could contribute to URE generally, and the Middleton case
specifically, we need to look closely at the events that occur - that
is, what is possible during poltergeist activity, and how does it relate
to URE (UFOs Related Events)? And in this instance, how could it produce
a physical, structured craft?

Examples of Poltergeist or RSPK activity
The Reverend Phelps lived in Stratford, Connecticut... He was interested
in clairvoyance, and attempted to treat illnesses by means of mesmerism...
On Sunday, March 10th, the family returned from church to find the front
door wide open and the place in disorder. Their first assumption was that
they had been burged; but inspection showed that nothing had been taken...
That afternoon the family went off to church again, but this time the
Reverend Phelps stayed behind to keep watch. He may well have dozed; at all
events nothing disturbed him. But when the family retured from church,
the place again showed signs of an intruder. Furniture was scattered,
and in the main bedroom, a nightgown and chemise had been laid out on
the bed, with the arms folded across the breast, and a pair of stockings
placed to make it look like a corpse laid out for burial. In another room,
clothing and cushions had been used to make various dummies, which were
arranged in a tableau, 'in attitudes of extreme devotion, some with
their foreheads nearly touching the floor', and with open Bible in front
of them. Clearly the poltergeist had a sense of ironic humour.
>From then on the Phelps poltergeist practised its skill as a designer of
tableaux. The astonishing theng was, that these were done so quickly. One
observer, a Doctor Webster, remarked that it would have taken half a
dozen women several hours to construct the 'dummies' that the poltergeist
made within minutes. One figure was so life-like that when the three-year
old boy went into the room he thought his mother was kneeling in prayer,
and whispered 'Be still... "

That it was a poltergeist became clear the next day, when objects began
to fly in the air. A bucket flew downstairs, an umbrella leapt through
the air, and spoons, bits of tin and keys were thrown around."

>From this case, and numerous others, it is clear that poltergeists have
the ability to both disorganize and reorganize physical objects. How this
is accomplished is enigmatic, although there are strong indications that
magnetic phenomenon are responsible. However, the point is that this
physical manipulation does occur. Countless cases have revealed
rearrangements of objects, sometimes to demonstrate specific thems.
They also show how materials and objects suddenly and mysteriously
appear and disappear. These are known as apports. There seem to be no
limits to its material-gathering abilites, although it is usually
confined to the local environment. This is the activated unconscious
at work again due to the electromagnetically stimulated brain, but
instead of influencing the nervious system and perceptions of the
witness, it reorganizes the external environment. Therefore, in terms
of the 'stage-management' of the Goulds' encounters, it is this
organizational ability, utilized in a more specific and directed way,
that produced the structured 'spaceship', it could arrive and depart
in the same manner in all apports, and it would be part of the staged
reality of an encounter with visotrs from another world.

The Middleton events consisted of a mixture of non-physical 'spacemen'
and 'prowlers' which, nevertheless, could be seen by different family
members (as the many cases of haunting), and the addition of a physical
element - the 'landed craft'. In other encounters, the mix is different,
and phantom 'spacecraft' are combined, for example, with physical
'assembled' entities. If the Phelps poltergeist could produce life-like
figures from clothing and household items, then, bizarre, in an encounter
with a UFO them, RSPK activity has the potential to produce 'assembled'
entities that pass for aliens from space. It is the ultimate and logical
progression from producing apparitions with selective physical features
or inducing internal imagery. Therefore, it is evident that there is no
single, simple category into which CE experiences can be placed in terms
of whether they are all mental or physical. There are experience that
are purely internal, but others consist of a mixture of levels of
'reality-statuses'. The UI (Unconscious Intelligence) is able to produce
these purposely staged realities according to (different) conditions."

The following is written by abductee researcher John Carpenter in
the MUFON magazine:
(Below it is the comments regarding the PSI Mutants and Government
Regulations Further below is the Linda Cortile case as queried by someone in
the list.)
John Carpenter wrote:

"There are some fascinating patterns of other aftereffects which I am
finding consistent worldwide. Apparently just after abduction encounters,
many people have been reporting electrical disturbances in their homes.
Appliances will turn on and off by themselves - or continue to operate
after being unplugged! Unusual shocks may occur when touching soil, wood,
and other unlikely materials. Touching dishwashers, microwaves, lights,
computers, small appliances, etc. may cause those items to short out.
Several people lost their jobs because they could not be around computers
any longer! The abductee himself seems "charged" and can produce amazing
results when utilizing Kirlian photography. What sounds likes simply
another "urban myth" - causing streetlights to blow out - has some
apparent validity. When asked such a question, many subjects have reported
this occurence - and with amazement that it had happened to anybody else.
There is also a common report of sentivity to magnets - being able to
sense where they are located and perhaps being unable to stay near them.

Quite a great number of cases demonstrate enhanced psychic ability and
possibly psychokinesis in the home. Although not desired or really
appreciated, these persons find themselves knowing things well beyond
chance and often observing objects move or fly across the room. One
girl told me she never thought it was strange to dodge flying books or
clothes until she found it did not happen in the homes of her friends!"
