FACE TO FACE WITH SAI BABA:
A "LIVING GOD ON EARTH"...
OR JUST ANOTHER SCAM?

by David Icke

Since I consciously began my own spiritual journey in 1990, I have not felt
good about many of the New Age "heroes" to which vast numbers of "devotees"
give their minds away.

So many people have such lack of confidence in themselves and their own
infinity that even when they reject organised religion, they still have to
find another person or belief to which to concede their divine uniqueness.

One of the most famous of these is Sai Baba and I have never felt good about
this guy. I have no agenda to undermine his credibility for the sake of it.
If he's a genuine man, good luck to him. I may not agree with him, but he
has a right to do what he does, and people in their endless thousands have
every right to think he is the "Living God on Earth". It is none of my
business what they do, so long as they do not force it on anyone else.

However, if people are being scammed and not told the truth about his
background and agenda, then, equally, we should know about it. Just as
people have every right to know information about me. There are postings on
this site which question the official story about Sai Baba and here are the
experiences of Jacqueline Maria Longstaff during her recent journey to
India. They appear to confirm the themes described elsewhere on this site.

A VISIT TO PUTTAPARTI
By Jacqueline Maria Longstaff
I was in India earlier this year with my "travelling ashram" where I held a
retreat and satsangs for people in South India. Not being far away from
Puttaparti, I decided to visit and have a look at Sai Baba.

The reason I wanted to visit was that I seem to attract many Sai Baba
devotees who often ask how I feel about Sai Baba, and quite honestly I've
never felt very good about him.

When I arrived in Puttaparti where his main ashram is, I was very aware of
the lack of a high energy field in the town and around the ashram. I said to
the person accompanying me, "this is no Buddhafield!" I also became very
sick and, no, it wasn't a deep cleansing because I was in the energy of
"Baba" as some devotees would suggest! I am used to keeping the company of
people with a very high vibration.

I had a strong reaction to him the minute I saw him - my stomach turned. I
do not write this to be sensational, judgemental, anti-Guru. I am none of
these, but just feel that information about what is happening in the world
needs to be shared, neutrally.

I'd also like to say that spiritually I experienced the ashram as a kind of
Kindergarden. Kindergardens are also needed, but what were all these
westerners doing there talking about this man as if he was "God" with a
capital G? As soon as I left Puttaparti, I was well again physically, but I
was aware of being flooded with what seemed like thought forms, vague
pictures, feelings connected with sexual abuse - especially of young people.

A few days later I was visiting Poona for the first time since 1981 - a kind
of small pilgrimage to Osho's Samadhi (shrine). Osho was my guru in the late
seventies. I was soon introduced to an Osho therapist who was interested in
my work and she told me of her ex boyfriend - he and his mother were former
Sai Baba devotees. She told me that when he was a young teenager Sai Baba
had misused him sexually and the guy was very messed up as a result and
couldn't let go of what had happened to him.

Together they decided to visit and confront Sai Baba. She was there about 10
days with him, but he couldn't bring himself to confront him. The woman got
more and more sick the longer they were there - she said she felt the same
way I had described I felt on my recent visit. She had also felt drained of
energy. I experienced her as very grounded and sensitive - not bull
shitting. Finally they left Sai Baba's ashram.

Next day I was about to enter the ashram in Poona when an American couple
walked by and I heard him say: "And then he told me to drop my pants...."

I just knew he was talking about Sai Baba and followed them. They WERE
talking about him and I actually evesdropped for half an hour. I had to go
to the cafe and buy something so I could sit on the table next to them! They
said many things - also confirming certain rumours of sexual encounters with
a beautiful young boy devotee, but what I write next (as I remember the
conversation) was typical of the whole tone:

"And then he put his finger up my perineum - I know there was nothing wrong
with that 'cos I know Baba is androgynous - I know he's beyond everything -
I know he was only stimulating my Kundalini..."

I felt like saying:

"Wake up man - if he's meant to be the great avatar you think he is
(personally I don't believe in such things) and if he can manifest ash, oil
etc. he doesn't need to stick his finger up you to stimulate your
Kundalini!"

It is SO difficult for people to face such things about one who is their
Guru - this is also why I had to see Sai Baba for myself. As I said earlier,
I get a lot of his devotees coming to me and some usually end up asking how
I feel about him. I also know that when it's pure there is something very
precious in a Guru - disciple relationship for as long as it's needed,
therefore I've always been careful about what I said to such people even
though I've never felt good about him myself.

The Guru is a principle - the deepest principle within us. I always say to
people that if your heart has opened so much that you have come in contact
with such great love and devotion and have projected it out onto another -
don't worry. That is you getting in touch with your deepest potential: the
Inner Guru. The next step is to lovingly take that projection back home.
There is nothing wrong with projections, negative or positive. They are
wonderful opportunities to take a good look at what is hidden inside. We can
then embrace and integrate these disowned aspects of ourselves.

Later on back in Denmark, I heard other accounts about Sai Baba - similar
things to what I tell here and what you say, David, on your website.
