[In case anyone else has been wondering who the Circuit Court judges are.... --MS] Thumbnail Sketches of Elian Judges By The Associated Press, Thumbnail sketches of three 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judges who ruled Wednesday in Elian Gonzalez case. Judge James Larry Edmondson, 52, of Atlanta, was appointed by President Reagan to the court in 1986. He graduated from Emory University in 1968 and from law school at the University of Georgia in 1971. Edmondson taught at the school for nine years and had a private practice for 13 years. He directed Reagan's 1984 re-election campaign in Gwinnett County. - Judge Joel F. Dubina, 52, of Montgomery, Ala., was appointed by President Bush in 1990. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1970 and Cumberland School of Law in 1973. Dubina was a clerk for a federal judge in Alabama until 1974. He was in private practice until he was appointed a federal magistrate in Alabama in 1983. Reagan appointed him federal judge in 1986. - Judge Charles R. Wilson, 45, of Tampa, Fla., was appointed by President Clinton in May 1999. He graduated from law school in 1979 at the University of Notre Dame, where he also earned a bachelor's degree. Wilson worked briefly as an assistant attorney in Hillsborough County, Fla., then worked for a year for a federal appeals court judge. He practiced law in Florida until his 1986 appointment to the circuit court bench. In 1990, he was named a federal magistrate and in 1994, he became U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Florida. ### P.S.
