The INS was not searching for a fugitive illegal alien. The INS has absolutely no power to invade the home of US citizens. The Gonzalez family was not in violation of any US law. The family had no legal duty to "deliver" the boy to the INS. The INS blatantly violated the 4th Amendment regarding unreasonable search and seizure by committing felony breaking and entering without a legal warrant or court order. The proper legal procedure would have been to request the turn over of the boy to the INS by making a peaceful visit to the Gonzalez home. Upon refusal, the INS should have obtained a Federal District Court Order to take custody. Upon further refusal of the Gonzalez family to turn over custody, then and only then could force be used. The almost universal acquiesence by the corporate media in this criminal home invasion only demonstrates our evolving Police State.
