Recognizing the irony of making this comment to a list hosted on the AOL
listserv, I am more and more troubled by AOL's empire-building. I am about
to write to my Congressperson urging at the very least a Congressional
investigation of AOL, and at best a Microsoft-style prosecution of Case &
Co. by DOJ. If Microsquish is guilty of using its market position unfairly
to maintain that position, surely AOL is guilty of far more serious economic
crimes, including but not limited to creation of perhaps the ultimate
vertical media cartel...as complete domination of an economic sector as ever
was perpetrated by Standard Oil.
