It wasn't just crank vegetarianism that led to Hitler's severe health
problems. According to Felix Kersten, the Swedish "physician" (actually more
like a chiropractor) one of whose faithful patients was Reichsf�hrer-SS
Heinrich Himmler, Hitler exhibited classic symptoms of tertiary syphilis:
tremors, hallucinations, dementia. Kersten believed Hitler had contracted
the disease, probably from a prostitute, during his student years in Vienna.
