Listers, I live in a relatively quiet parish in Louisiana that functions in the extreme zone of police-state tactics, especially in the public schools. It just occurred to me that maybe this is a test-site to assess public reaction and resistance to totalitarian controls? It makes sense that if a government's aim was to institute martial law as a way of life, they would have test sites. If that were true about my community, then it would explain why no attorneys will take cases against the school board here, and also explain the over-confidence of school board members when dealing with irate parents.
