Bill would require warrant to strip-search students

The students were lined up and told to remove their shoes and socks.
Dozens of girls and boys were taken to separate rooms where they were
searched one by one. Several girls said they had to lift their shirts. Some
boys said they had to drop their pants to their knees.
All in search of a missing $10.
Incidents like this one last April at a Warren County elementary school and a
similar case at a West Tennessee high school has led two state lawmakers to
introduce a bill that would severely restrict so-called strip-searches in
Tennessee public schools.
