Apparently Army PSYOPS personnel worked at NPR as well as
at CNN. Emperors-Clothes reports that NPR has admitted it:

controls public broadcasting and toward what end
merits the attention of thoughtful listeners. The
answers to such questions illuminate a view of the future
of this important medium.
