These audio files are available for public access and downloading.
They are highly compressed to minimize download time and are of
good quality for personal use, but are not intended for broadcast
quality. If in doubt about your computer's ability to handle such
files, start with Pspray_Spring_KMUD below, which is much shorter
than the others at only 1.3 MB. That will serve as a test. Technical
notes are below.

Judi Bari's awesome Berkeley 1996 presentation of her case against
the FBI was broadcast on KZYX by Alicia Littletree. May 24, 2000
marks the 10th anniversary of the car-bombing and attempted frame-up
of Judi and Darryl Cherney while they were organizing Earth First!'s
1990 Redwood Summer nonviolent protests against corporate
liquidation logging. This is Judi at her peak, revealing her impish sense
of humor and intellect while making an eloquent and powerful case.
A trial date has finally been set for their landmark suit against the
FBI and Oakland Police: October 1, 2001.
(This program is 61 minutes long, and takes about 35 min. at 28,800
to download, but it's worth it.)

Learn more about the case at www.judibari.org

The next two files below feature Spring Lundberg, one of the
Humboldt Headwaters Forest activists suing authorities for
repeatedly applying pepper-spray directly to their eyes with Q-tips
and direct spray from inches away. The activists of Headwaters
Forest Defense vs. County of Humboldt won a stunning appellate
victory which reinstates their case, grants them a new trial, and
makes new case law limiting the use of force on nonviolent
political demonstrators. The second file also features plaintiff
Terri Compost, and they are interviewed on Working Assets
Broadcasting. Both interview came just after the 9th Circuit
Court of Appeals granted their appeal. To learn more about their
case see the Albion Monitor story at
http://www.monitor.net/monitor/0005a/default.html

Here's the link to KMUD environment show clip with Spring
Lundberg. This file is only about 10 minutes playing time, so it's
a quick download and a good test of how your system handles
downloading and playing MP3 files.

Then choose the file Pspray_Spring_KMUD_enviro_050900.mp3 1.3 MB

And here is the name of the Working Assets Radio file with
Spring Lundberg and Terri Compost:
Use the driveway link just above and choose the filename below:
