CIA controls the movies too. Through Wall Street and by blackmail of studio heads and major producers they can shut down any project. I have met almost all of the big ones since 1982 when the late Alan Pakula (All The President's Men) first optioned me. I won't bore you with the list of the rest I have met and who have strung me along or discovered that there was no way in hell they would ever get the OK to shoot. Some were people bigger than Stone. Oliver Stone is a raging alcoholic and drug user himself who recently got arrested. His recent films have not been doing well. He was savaged over JFK yet he still owes money to certain tech advisers like Fletcher Prouty whom - I am told - he still has not paid after almost ten years. Too much truth means no movie. Through the Association of Foreign Intelligence Officers (AFIO) the CIA has an advisory office in the film community. One call, to one big lawyer, like Mickey Rudin shuts down any film. Some major (Water World I am told is one) films get funded by laundering cocaine money. Who the heck do you think made MCA Universal big, The Boy Scouts?
