I cannot help but compare/contrast the level of interest and media coverage of this case with the Elian fiasco. This child is dead and apparently nothing will be done. Elian had an "international" element so no amount of coverage is spared. Perhaps if Jon Benet had been murdered by an international element, this, too, would have received enough coverage and interest to bring about some sort of justice or at least closure.
