That story can't be told without causing animosity towards Jews. It was
designed that way.
There had never been Jews ( in any number ) in places like Japan and
S. Korea. Yet Japanese and Koreans have been found to harbor anti semitic
feelings of some intensity.
It seems that along with other western influences, the New Testament also
made inroads into Japanese culture. Asians are learning about Jews through
the hate propaganda of Western Christianity and it is having the same effect
on them that it has had on everyone who takes the story seriously.
The unfortunate thing is that the story of Jesus as written in the NT is
almost entirely fiction when compared to what is known of that period and
that place. When the NT was written, Christianity benefited politically,
economically, and culturally from demonizing the religion it had split
off from and which was its main competitor. When it inherited power from
the Roman state, the same state which tortured and murdered the object of it's
worship, it simply shifted the blame to the Jews and continued to enjoy the
power and influence. Nice.

I also wonder how long. But next time will be much different. If we go, a
lot of others are going with us. Unlike the Armenians, and Tutsis, and Kurds,
and E. Timorese, and Amazonians, and Chechens, and pre-WWII European Jewry,
and yes, the Palestinians..., the Jews have The Bomb and know how to use it.
It would be very costly to try to exterminate the Jews again.
So whether you like Jews or not. Whether you love or hate Zionism or not.
Enjoy the emotion, but remember.
You would have to be a suicidal fool to court their destruction.
