This issue is one that does cause me to think and has been a key issue amongst
separatist groups and fringe people, as well as militias and "free-men". This, is
just another issue like the idea that the IRS and the tax laws are not valid and can
be ignored. It is all well and good until you get in the court and try to use it to
your advantage, at which point you will be made to look like a fool, and will lose
your case nonetheless. Even if it is true that the flag is an indication of Admiralty
jurisdiction, it will do you no good since our courts are based on case law and
precedent (a sorry state of affairs in and of itself) thus you cannot win.
Still it is a fascinating issue, and another example of a possible subversion of
liberties within our court system.
