APPEALS COURT TO HEAR ORAL ARGUMENT ON CLINTON "CRIME-FRAUD" FINDING
D.C. Circuit Sets Oral Argument for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2000

Time: 9:30 a.m.
(Washington, DC) In an unprecedented display of non-meritorious appellate
practice, the Clinton-Gore Administration is attempting an appeal on a
discovery order which made a required finding that the crime-fraud exception
applied to communications between the President and his advisors over the
illegal release of documents from Kathleen Willey's government file. The
ruling
was issued in the context of the Filegate civil litigation that Judicial Watch
is prosecuting on behalf of those Republicans and others whose FBI files were
illegally obtained and misused by the Clinton-Gore White House.
The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has
set
an oral argument for tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in the Federal Court House at Third
and Constitution Avenue, N.W. The oral argument is open to the public and
media. Presenting the oral argument for the plaintiffs, the individuals who
were harmed by breaches of privacy by the Clinton-Gore White House, will be
Larry Klayman, Chairman and General Counsel of Judicial Watch.
