And what about Vancouver Island, Queen Charlottes etc. Aren't they part of
the Pacific Island Community of Nations? Seems to me these First Nations
would be willing to support a bid by First Nations in BC to enter the UN
General Assembly...especially if prominent Non-FN BC'ers like David Ingram
keep saying the whole province was STOLEN from FN's. BTW, what is Green
Party platform on FN Sovereignty?

Unconfirmed reports suggest Solomon Islands coup attempt
Reports are beginning to emerge of another possible coup attempt in the
Pacific, this time in the Solomon Islands.
Australian Foreign Affairs officials have heard similar reports, but are
still unable to confirm them.
However, callers to the ABC say a militia group called the Eagles [Malaita
Eagle Force] have put armed men on to the streets of the capital, Honiara.
The militia is also said to have taken the Prime Minister hostage, along
with an unspecified number of other people.
Where the hostages are being held and what the demands of their captors are
is not known at this stage.
