Tony Blair's
New Military World Order
by Bill Barnwell

What exactly is the "New World Order?" Ask most conservatives and they will
tell you it is just a phrase tossed around by wacko conspiracy theorist kooks
who can't read enough of The New American and The Spotlight, delusional
Buchananite "isolationists," and religious extremists. The politically correct
conservative will then go into a diatribe about the "far right," "anti-
Semitism," "bigotry," "reactionary racist rhetoric," and a whole bunch of other
baloney characteristics that these dangerous "isolationists" and loony black-
helicopter-watching conspiracy theorists are supposedly defined by. The lesson?
Do not question the bipartisan imperialism and globalism from the Republicrat
establishment.

Heretics on the left and right have been given their marching orders: "The
issue of globalism and foreign policy is off limits. You will accept the status
quo or we will, in Marxist fashion, demonize you as an extremist beyond the
question of a reasonable doubt." The smear against those who oppose military
statism and imperialism has a long and rich history. The America-First
proponents before World War II were just anti-Semites, non-Cold Warriors were
just Communist sympathizers, Pat Buchanan loves Hitler, enemies of the Gulf War
were just idiots, enemies of the Kosovo air war were just embracing a new
Hitler, etc (The smear usually has something to do with Hitler or Nazi's).

However, in the past ten years, the "kooks" have largely been proven correct
with their concern over the growing trend of globalism and imperialism. Just a
few examples: U.S. troops now face a court martial if they refuse to go under
UN command. Free Trade has devolved into globalized managed trade under the
World Trade Organization. The United States has tossed troops all over the
globe in the name of "human rights" and "stopping the spread of hate." The neo-
conservatives over at the Weekly Standard have called for "benevolent global
hegemony."

One utopian leftist, Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair, has recently
highlighted this nonsense with his call for the United Nations to create a
military code that would allow international armies to use "overwhelming force"
to save faltering democracies. This is nothing new; the United States came
extremely close to intervening militarily in Haiti to "restore Democracy." It
does, however, highlight the not so explicit calls for a New Military World
Order from the same dreamy leftist who called the attack against Serbia, a
sovereign nation that never attacked his country, a "Progressive's War."
Many other progressives (read liberals) also held the Blair position. Kosovo,
they told us, was an honorable and decent war that they were proud of. It was a
war that had no selfish motive, only the altruistic and pure goal to preserve
"human rights." A schism that had already internally divided the left and right
with disagreements over intervention in Bosnia had now came to a boil as the
peace crowd and the war crowd went their separate ways. Now Blair is looking
beyond Kosovo with his plans for glorious global vision of enforcing "peace."

According to the UK's Sunday Times, Robin Cook, the foreign secretary, "wants
the adoption of British-NATO military doctrine on peace enforcement through the
deployment of overwhelming force and the setting up of a NATO-style military
headquarters to replace the UN's peacekeeping department." The Times goes on to
say that, "The new headquarters would be better staffed and capable of putting
combat-ready forces with state-of-the-art command and control structures into
trouble spots," and, get this, "peacekeeping operations may often 'resemble'
war."

Can anyone imagine the consequences of such a plan? Do we really need a new and
improved global department in charge of policing the world to impose its
dictatorial wills on sovereign nations that they deem "trouble spots?" And do
we really need these lying thugs telling us that peacekeeping operations
"resemble" war? The truth of the matter is most of these fraudulent
"peacekeeping" crusades are simply war with a different name. The international
community has no right or mandate to stick its ugly nose in other nations'
business, let alone occupy a foreign land and create a military police state.
Sadly, these tactics will continue with the full blessing of most leaders.

The "enforcement of peace" doctrine is plain garbage for many obvious reasons.
Such absurdness was common in the Kosovo intervention when proponents of the
war claimed we were dropping bombs on civilians and destroying thousands of
lives for the sake of ending the hostilities that existed in Yugoslavia before
NATO ever reared its ugly head. The only result of Blair's "enforcement of
democracy" plan will be widespread chaos and heightened tensions throughout the
world. This would be great news for the War Coalition who are constantly
searching for new Hitler's and "rogue nations" to become sworn enemies of the
cause of freedom and human rights. However, it would be an absolute catastrophe
for the young men and women who will be called, and eventually compelled to do
the dirty work for the New World Order crowd.

If all of this doesn't cause alarm, one only need to look at some of the
globalist orientated proposals made at the UN's Millennium Forum, which
concluded May 26th. All the proposals are summarized on the UN's web page. The
proposals range from the passing of the Kyoto Protocol, to urging nation states
to end the "gender gap" in education and cut poverty in half, and for the
creation of a global policy network to explore the problems of youth
employment. http://www.un.org/millennium/sg/report/

People can scoff all they want, but while they are denouncing individuals as
"kooks" and "conspiracy hacks," America's sovereignty is progressively
withering away, liberties being eroded, military rages out of control and
crusades around the world in an imperialistic manner. There are still a few
outlets of truth out there. Read columnists such as Justin Raimondo and Lew
Rockwell, visit Antiwar.com and LewRockwell.com and support and promote
candidates that embrace individual liberties, free markets, and oppose military
statism. Stop believing the lies being peddled by internationalists and never
trust your government, especially on matters involving international affairs.
Don't put your trust in any political party and don't buy into the claptrap
from conservative scam artists who say any opposition to the UN and NATO is
just dangerous "isolationism." Those conservatives who call this "extreme" and
"crazy" are not even conservatives at all, they are simply partners with the
Tony Blair's of the world and smug advocates of a One World government whether
they know it or not.
