The Warren Commission Report states that "Oswald's rifle,
a military surplus Mannlicher-Carcano with a cheap telescopic sight "
was found on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building."
This is a lie.
A rifle was found, but it was not Oswald's Mannlicher-Carcano.
It was a Austrian Mauser. One of the two officers who first found
the rifle was Dallas County Deputy Sheriff Roger Craig.
Deputy Craig stated publicly and repeatedly that the rifle was not
a Mannlicher-Carcano.
Three brass shells were found near the 6th floor window from which
the shots were supposedly fired. Those shell cases were not even
the same caliber as the rifle which was found.
