One would presume any 'hacker' worth tapping would be savvy enough to
use the most rigorous encryption of their email....
It's that catch-all 'counterterrorism' that is frightening...it's an
extremely broad term, which can be applied to anything from foreign
agents planning to bomb a building to citizens discussing peaceful
civil disobedience...and by extension, to ANY person or group which
represents something antithetical to the status quo, because the spooks
presume that at some time these people or groups just MAY discuss
something which can fall under the broad, catch-all description of
'terrorism'...
And as far as their watch on 'drug-trafficking', well as some us found
out years ago on AOHell, when it was announced that AOHell had
developed a cozy relationship with the spook agencies and had opened
their doors -- and computers -- to the spooks to watch every single bit
of email and live chat that went on in that system...apparently the
spooks consider any discussion of alternative health methods,
specifically the discussion of herbs and vitamins, as falling under the
umbrella 'drug' term....
