About a year ago we told you that Trulock was once the former director of intelligence for the Department of Energy. He was in charge of finding the spies who had transferred American nuclear secrets to the Chinese and, in the process, blew the whistle on the Clinton administration. Back then he admitted that he was a regular visitor to FreeRepublic.com. And that ruffled more feathers than the espionage investigations. ABC's Cokie Roberts confronted him on this--apparently it's taboo – or politically incorrect -- for people to visit conservative Web sites. Trulock has made the news again. Last Friday afternoon, two FBI agents showed up at his house to confiscate his computer hard drive. Their action was in response to an article Trulock wrote for the latest National Review. The article criticized the Clinton administration's and the FBI's handling of spy scandals in U.S. nuclear labs. The FBI's claim was that Trulock's article contained classified information...but Trulock says he was careful to avoid any references to classified materials. He even passed a counterintelligence polygraph test in March after he wrote the article. That's further proof that he didn't make any inappropriate disclosures.
