I've got a wife and some wonderful children, just like you. I can kiss Tipper passionately and I even make toast for my daughters---with lots of butter." He said these things to acquire votes. When a politician says he has done such a good job raising good kids, and then it turns out not to be entirely true, it is a valid response to point this lie out. One thing I am curious about is: I thought a Secret Service agent was supposed to be present with the veep's children. I remember reading in TAS that Gore's son was kicked out of school for smoking, but don't think it was tobacco. He had to switch schools and attend 8th grade at another exclusive boy's school. I was under the impression that all the VPOTUS kids had SS protection ... not just for their own sake but, more importantly, to prevent the occurrence of a hostage situation which would be very hard for a president or VP to deal with rationally.
