-Caveat Lector- Howdy, Well, the LA Symposium was successful in increasing our understandings of the world and how it works. It was unsuccessful in attendance. I realized one of my worst fears. At the start of the event there was about ten folks which put me in a funk and I forgot most everything I had planned to say and coupled with a problem with my computer/video presentation drove me to distraction and I gave a flawed presentation. BUT a few more folks continued to show up during the event and the rest of the speakers were tremendous. Mike Ruppert and Cele Castillio, both gave excellent presentations and help to lay a ground work of understanding of just how deep and wide this corruption goes. The ladies from Arkansas and Texas, Linda Ives, Jean Duffey and Mara Leveritt presentations about the story of tragedy that has affected so many was deeply moving and emotional. The straight forward telling of such a horrific crime and the unfolding drama of corruption caused by the actions of a "national security" cover-up brought reality in focus. Daniel Hopsicker, then told his amazing tale of his life after he innocently got his career entangled in the whole Mena "mess." And told some stories about his researching his forthcoming book, Barry and the'boys' - The CIA, The Mob and America's Secret History. The book is explosive. Now will the media catch on? Peter Dale Scott was wonderful as always. The gentleman is a national treasure. The best part of the event was the question and answer period. Tis late and I am to bed. I ll write some about what I learned. And many people were taping, so you will be able to see and hear, I will be posting how to get our copies and copies from others on the web site www.cia-drugs.org. Strange as it may seem, the impetus for the NY event has gotten stronger. It is going to take some doing. Anybody got any ideas for funding? We will need about $5000 to stage an event in NY. It would be nice to have some more for publicity. We are going to try and submit a grant for an event in Washington in Jan. We shall see.
