There is nothing in the link you provided (and since it's just a URL, why did you have
to put it as an
attachment?) that disputes Rabbi Milgrom's statement that the Levitical prohibition
against homosexuals only
applies to Jews, or to non-Jews who reside in Israel.
Also, a question was asked in one of the links from your link, asking why all the
other Levitical prohibitions
also aren't being discussed...
If you are going to be so obsessed over Lev. 18, Aleisha, why aren't you also
pontificating regarding all the
OTHER prohibitions delineated in that book? Have you never worn a garment made of
blended fibers, Aleisha?
Did you go into seclusion and take ritual baths every time you had your period
(presuming you are a woman) or
had an emission of semen (presuming you are a man)? Have you never eaten pork or
shellfish? If you answered
'no' to any question, then you are as 'guilty' as any homosexual in breaking a
biblical commandment.
Now as all hypocrites do, we will now be regaled by Aleisha as to why wearing blended
fibers, eating pork or
shellfish, and not having to go into seclusion and take ritual baths when a woman has
her period or a man has
an emission of semen, is perfectly okay and only homosexuality is wrong. Hypocrites
pick and choose what
makes life easier for them, and condemn those who practice what the hypocrite has no
desire to do in the first
place. Aleisha will now subject us to 'her' many justifications for why 'she' can
blythely ignore and break
any number of laws laid down in Deuteronomy and Leviticus, but decides that the one
statement regarding male
homosexuality -- no mention is made regarding female homosexuality in the Levitical
prohibition, and neither
does it pertain to non-Jews living outside of Israel -- is still sacrosanct unto death.
You can't have it both ways, Aleisha...if you are going to demand that one Levitical
law be upheld, then they
ALL must be upheld, and you yourself should lead the way. Only wear natural fibers,
and make sure they are
not blended. Refrain from eating pork, shellfish, and any dishes that combine meat
with milk or milk products
(cream, butter, cheese, yogurt, etc.)...in fact, you need separate dishes in which to
cook and eat meat and
milk products...the same pot you use to heat up spaghetti meat sauce can't on another
occasion be used to heat
milk...ask any Moslem or orthodox Jewish acquaintance for advice regarding the dietary
laws, they will spell
out to you all the requirements, including not mixing cooking utensils...
Come on, Aleisha...PROVE to us that you are not the hypocrite you really are...
