The FMSF "experts," many of whom have backgrounds in illicit CIA mind control experimentation (see my postings on the FMSF in the Usenet archives), are desperately trying to discredit repressed memory and dissociation because of the horrendous human rights violations of CIA mind control specialists, many of them involving young children. As for your question regarding the Eileen Franklin case, her father was sentenced in 1990 for a murder that occurred 20 years earlier. There were, admittedly, problems with the girl's testimony, including a claim to have been hypnotized before the trial. The journal Accuracy About Abuse (July 20, 1996) reports: "San Mateo County DA James Fox said he would reluctantly ask a judge to dismiss the charges. 'We don't believe there is sufficient evidence to justify the prosecution.'" Insufficient evidence is not exculpatory in itself, but can get a case thrown out of court. The DA STILL believed Eileen's story but "we do not believe it is reasonably probable that we would prevail." Fox also stated that recent DNA tests has cleared George Franklin of a SECOND murder Eileen had accused him of committing. He was NOT cleared in the first case, but there was insufficient evidence to convict. But who is George Franklin? A 1990 court document document alleges that he : "1) engaged in sexually assaultive conduct against young girls, including his own daughters, 2) made numerous admissions of engaging in sexual acts with children and of his sexual desire for young girls and fascination with incest, pedophilia and other deviant sexual practices including sexual relations between humans and animals, and possesses written and photographic materials documenting the above described interests. The following twelve pages list the pornographic materials, the books and magazines on incest, the child-sized dildos, letters written to him with incest scenarios described, photos of Franklin himself, etc. " Perhaps he is not the victim of the justice system that the FMSF, especially Richard Ofshe, has led us to believe. Accuracy About Abuse notes, "George Franklin's wife Leah is still standing by him." But Eileen Franklin has said of her mother: "She was a serious alcoholic throughout my childhood. She was emotionally ill, institutionalized, treated with electrical shock therapy (which scientists believe cause memory damage), neglectful, and physically abusive. She chose not to act when informed (during my childhood) of George Franklin's sexual assaults upon other members of the family. George Franklin refused to take the witness stand - an odd choice for an allegedly innocent man with excellent legal representation. He never denied the murder or his abuse when confronted by me in jail.
