June, You may be right. The explanation of Craig concerning
dynamic/opportunistic seems to fit better with what I have observed of human
nature. even when I was still doing activities with my children, two adults
were required at all times possible for legal reasons in almost all youth
groups. I think some parents are concerned that the scouts emulate the Scout
Master and many mainstream religions oppose homosexual lifestyles. I think
usually parents are the Scout Masters anyway. Hopefully the BSA will
survive this. A lot of good has come from that organization over the years.
