The main thing I remember about the Turks was that the Sultan in Istanbul
sent two emissaries to talk to Vlad. One was so appalled at the sight of all
the impaled villagers that he spoke out against it. Vlad immediately had him
impaled. The other guy learned immediately that he should keep his mouth
shut, and he went on to discuss various issues with Vlad. It does appear,
however, that your idea of a good Christian and my idea of a good Christian
are very different. I don't recall Christ being in favor of killing anyone
of any faith, although I am aware that millions have been wiped out in his
