AUDREY'S MISSILES A weekly newsletter dedicated to the peaceful reform of the United States government. WORTH FIGHTING FOR The presidency of the United States is worth fighting for, because these are some of the things a president can do: 1. He can settle lawsuits that the government has filed against corporations for a fraction of their value and pocket part of the difference. 2. He can sell seats on Commerce Department flights and funnel the money to his own personal campaign. If it looks like his scheme might be exposed he can gave the whistle blowers murdered and cover up the crime, even if it means shooting down a commercial airliner to silence a witness. 3. He can bargain away public land rights and mineral rights and pocket the proceeds in his overseas retirement accounts. 4. He can take in millions by getting "free trade" legislation through the Congress to open our borders to drug and people smuggling, thus helping both corporations and criminals. 5. He (and members of Congress) can take in plenty for their help in passing tax breaks for those individuals and corporations who can afford to pay for them. 6. He can sell pardons for those who want out of jail and can raise enough money. 7. He can sell sensitive technical equipment to foreign powers without the approval of Congress and pocket a commission for his treason. 8. He can bomb legal drug factories in foreign nations and not even make an apology for his mistake. 9. The power and prestige of the most powerful office on earth will be his. Sex crimes and sexual indiscretions will be covered up by the press. Meanwhile, he can enjoy the best in living that the White House affords, the best luxury transportation services, and an army to protect him ---all at public expense. There is no fear of prosecution because those who stand in his way will be bribed, blackmailed or murdered by organized crime. The next president will not prosecute because the crime bosses would not let him, and further, he might wish to do these same things himself. The opportunities are so risk-free, so numerous and so lucrative that a candidate will do anything to win. That is what is happening now. We have two men fighting for the prize of the Presidency of the United States: two men surrounded by those who expect to share in the profits; two men who will do anything to win regardless of what happens to this country. Both men are acceptable to the establishment, and the way the press has covered the fight the gullible part of the public has been led to believe that we have legitimate candidates and legitimate election contests! Gore has been a full partner in the criminal Clinton Administration for the last eight years, and Bush Junior's very limited intellectual ability makes him an ideal candidate. He has been and will continue to be controlled without even realizing it. ("He is surrounded by his father's handlers."*) As long as our President is above the law and honest men are powerless to prosecute we can expect the situation to continue to deteriorate. * Paul Gigot, PBS TV, The News Hour.
