Its Time to Check Ballot Stubs in Florida to Weed Out the Dead, Illegals and Felons who Voted

Readers Swamp Robert Cook's Statistical Challenge to Florida Ballots

Two weeks ago I received an e-mail from Robert Cook, of Marietta, Georgia, a nuclear engineer, with an MS in statistical quality control, software testing specialist and QA management. Cook's job for the last twenty years or so has been analyzing and correcting trends, errors, and mistakes in heavy construction projects (ships, power plants, nuclear reactors, military and aerospace vehicles, etc.)

Using that expertise, he applied it to the subject matter that has occupied America's attention for the last three weeks - the ballots cast for the office of the President of the United States in Palm Beach County.

The article he wrote (see: http://www.reagan.com/HotTopics.main/HotMike/document-11.28.2000.1.html) uses simplified but wide-ranging statistical comparisons to establish beyond doubt that the democratic operatives "stole" by double-punching ballots approximately 15,000 Bush votes in Palm Beach County; and approximately 3,400 additional Buchanan votes.

On reading his comparisons, I was impressed by the fact that his conclusions were driven by his statistical analysis, not his opinions so I posted his article on both www.reagan.com and www.originalsources.com. Although his article outlining his comparisons was quite long, which usually means it won't be read by today's busy readers, the number of hits broke all records. In fact, the numbers indicate that more than 100 times as many people have read Cook's article than the average daily article on both websites. So far, no one has challenged Robert Cook's statistics.

Furthermore, other websites picked up the article and ran it on their own websites. Many readers sent the article by e-mail to their relatives, friends and co-workers. In two weeks his analysis has literally raced around the world, with several people sending it back to me, not realizing that it was originally posted on websites I am responsible for. In fact, there is no way to figure out how many people have actually read Robert Cook's statistical analysis proving voter fraud in Palm Beach County.

Now, I was writing about impending voter fraud before the election occurred. None of my articles got anything like that many hits. Why, all the sudden, would an article by a nuclear statistical engineer attract so much attention?

That is a question Al Gore and his friends, especially his friend and campaign manager Bill Daley of Chicago, would do well to consider at this point. Gore apparently is awakening a slumbering giant - the ordinary, law-abiding, honest American who, regardless of their political persuasion, believe fairness is more important than power.

It appears that Al Gore, as part of an administration that was able to lie time and time again to the American people, now believes that the public is too stupid to ever react against the lies.

But, it may be that he is underestimating the power of the label "sore loser" and the problems he may well be causing the Democrat party if the growing charges of voter fraud continue. In fact, I've been told on good authority that one of the reasons why we are seeing the unseemly push by Al Gore to take the matter out of the hands of Judge Sauls and into the all Democrat Florida Supreme Court is to move the action so fast Judge Sauls might do too much poking around once the ballots are in his court.

Gore wants only 10,700 ballots gleaned for votes for him. He does not, obviously, actually want a "full and accurate count" that he says he wants. In fact, as the New York Times reports today, Gore's attorneys are "furious at the move" by the Bush attorneys insistence that Florida law requiring ALL the votes to be recounted, not just a few select Democrat precincts, be adhered to.

If all those 1.1 million ballots from Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties that are wending their way to Tallahassee are actually counted by hand, it may very well increase George Bush's lead and could very well present proof that charges of fraud are true.

For example, with the Miami-Dade ballots in Tallahasse, it would be possible to check the stubs, which are saved separately from the ballots, and which can be traced by number to the registered voter allowing a spot check of a few thousand of them in predominately Democrat voting precincts to see why the percentage of registered voters who voted November 7th was so high in some innercity areas.

Among the votes from Miami-Dade County are the 100,715 votes that were cast for Democrat Rep. Carrie P.Meek, a black woman. That represented 72.9% of the 138,155 registered voters, an amazing turn-out considering the fact she had no Republican opposition. She received 100% of the votes cast in the 17th District.

Up to 20% of the black males in some of those districts, for example, are felons who are not supposed to be able to vote. Checking the voter roles would enable a check to see what percentage of those who voted November 7th were dead people, illegal aliens and felons.

In the Florida panhandle, at the Alabama border, on the other hand, Republican Rep. Joe Scarborough, of District 1, received 225,473 votes. That represented 67.3% of the 413,534 registered voters in the counties he represents.

That is a 5.6% difference. Carrie Meek got 5.6% more registered voters to the polls than Joe Scarborough did. That's 5600 votes per 100,000 voters, well beyond the 930 vote margin of George W. Bush's certified victory. Somebody, perhaps the folks at Judicial Watch, needs to check several hundred ballot stubs at random and see how many of the dead, illegal aliens or felons managed to vote for Carrie on November 7th compared with the dead, illegal aliens or felons who voted for Joe Scarborough.

If we are going to REALLY seek a full and accurate count of legitimate votes in Florida by barring military absentee ballots that clearly have put George W. Bush over the top, in spite counting pregnant chads for Al Gore, it's time to start comparing ballot stubs with the voter rolls. After all, Gore and Lieberman keep telling us that we must make certain that the MILITARY votes are legal. Shouldn't we also care about checking for illegal votes in other areas too?
