As an American citizen I am exercising my constitutional rights and I have every right to demand JUSTICE. For this purpose I started my Legal Defense and Research Fund in 1997, roughly one year after I made the decision to go public. During the course of my own research and long before I went public with my own case, I had previously learned that there are -at least- hundreds of individuals who are survivors/victims of various black programs. And these are only the ones I KNOW about. How many more are out there ? It's anyone's guess. Many of these people contacted me after reading my published material or hearing my testimony on radio, TV or in lectures at conferences around the country. Like myself, many of these persons have been targeted for harassment tactics and political persecution. Unlike myself, most of these people have NOT made their cases public. They understand, as I do, how very difficult -and often impossible- it is to prove our allegations, as well as the security risks involved in going public. The standard M.O. of the perpetrators of these abuses, including mind control and -sometimes life-threatening- harassment, is "PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY". And tragically for those of us who have been targeted, the perps' strategy has shown itself to be all too effective. Unfortunately for us, the perps are flush with all the money, resources and advanced technology they need to continue their reign of terror on innocent American citizens. Let's face it, any ONE of us -when standing against these perps alone- is figuratively speaking, outmanned and outgunned. And so -day in, day out- they continue these flagrant abuses- WITH IMPUNITY. However, I think it's important to document and to SPEAK OUT about these abuses, whether or not we are able to obtain conclusive proof and whether or not we decide to make a public disclosure using our real names. If WE - the targeted individuals- don't make it our business to collect the evidence, WHO WILL ? If WE don't speak out, WHO WILL ? Because I personally have chosen to go public using my real name, I continue to document the events as they happen and to try to keep my case as public as I can, in the hope of gaining the support I need to continue my work as a researcher; an investigative journalist operating independently outside the mainstream media; a whistleblower exposing black operations and a survivor documenting my own testimony. But more importantly, I need this support to stay alive. I have been financially ruined by the persecution directed at me. As the result of a downward spiral -financially and otherwise- over the past 7 years, I am now living in abject poverty. I also am disabled by serious chronic illness as a result of the abuses committed against me for the many years I was still inside the black projects, as well as since I have broken out. For these compelling reasons, in the past few years, I have been faced with a brutal struggle for the most basic survival. Only someone who has experienced such a journey through what I can only call a LIVING HELL can truly understand how life-shattering this can be. As for those who have NOT been targeted, I don't expect them to understand. The best I can hope for is that they might listen to my testimony -as well as that of other targeted individuals- with an open mind and at the very least suspend judgment until they are able to make an INFORMED decision as to what they believe the truth to be. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EARNED MY APPRECIATION Before I go on to detail the most recent circumstances involving the escalating harassment and sabotage directed against me I feel it is important to acknowledge certain individuals who have offered the necessary help and support -in one way or another- that has been so instrumental in both preserving my sanity (Yes, I do consider myself of sound mind, despite my detractors' assertions to the contrary) and contributing to my on-going recovery from the psychological and physical abuses to which I have been- and continue to be- subjected. For sharing and exchanging information so that I could keep talking -publicly and privately- and keep on writing. These people deserve a lot of credit and they have all helped me more than they could ever know. To protect the privacy of certain individuals, I can only name those who have gone public as researchers and/or survivors. As for those who have NOT chosen to go public, I respect their reasons and I respect and appreciate them NO LESS for making that decision. For this reason I'm sorry I can't tell you their names and give them the public recognition they deserve. Regarding those who HAVE chosen to publicize their research/experiences, I strongly recommend reading/hearing their public testimony and research. It's been very valuable to me and to many others. In case you don't recognize the name/s just put any of them into a good search engine ( my favorites are Dogpile and Northern Light) and you will have access to some very insightful -and at times mind-boggling- information. By giving these names I do not mean to imply that all of these individuals necessarily endorse me, my work, my credentials or even my credibility. We each have our own ideas, beliefs, knowledge and experiences and sometimes these are very different. On some issues we may disagree. But I do want to give credit where it is due - and I will say that I personally find each of these people very courageous for being willing to stand up in the face of the potential hostility and ridicule which can be the price one pays for taking a stand and speaking out. More than that, they have put their lives on the line in order that the truth might be exposed. COMPUTER SABOTAGE: THE TECHNO-TERRORISTS STRIKE AGAIN ! Here's the latest in my own case: For most of the past 6 months my Internet access has been cut off due to continuing sabotage of my computer, courtesy of the cyber-spooks and techno-terrorists who have spared no effort in their attempts to "neutralize" me, silence me and shut down my Legal Defense and Research Fund and all related activities. As a result most of my communications with the outside world were cut off for a lengthy period of time. 6 months seems an eternity when you know that time is of the essence and may be running out ! Since I have had no long distance phone service for the past 2 years, I cannot even make calls without a pre-paid phone card, a "luxury" I can rarely afford. It is a continuing struggle just to keep my basic phone service from being shut off. I was finally able to get back online on November 11, thanks to a generous contribution from one of my supporters which allowed me to replace some of my computer hardware. THE BOTTOM LINE: In September, 2000 my hard drive was finally TOTALLY DESTROYED as the culmination of the relentless electronic sabotage. DESTROYED: All my research documents. Much of the text of a book I am writing. Thousands of e-mail messages. My e-mail address book. Articles I was writing, still in progress. Photographs from my research, some of which served as evidence. Documents sent to me by other journalists and researchers. Testimony sent to me by survivors of mind control and various gov't black operations. THOUSANDS of documents, all told. ALL GONE. TOTALLY WIPED OUT. Although I still have hundreds of hardcopy files and thousand of documents, collected over many years of research, I can NEVER replace the rest of what was destroyed. I understand that my own lack of computer expertise- and lack of resources- is part of the reason I was unable to save my many files onto disks. To some people, this may appear as a foolish lack of vigilance on my part, when I must have known such a loss would be devastating and there is so much at stake. All I can say is that when you are dealing with constant, heavy-duty harassment -electronic and otherwise- your life can become a little like trench warfare. No sooner has one emergency situation -hit and run strike or savage electronic assault- been dealt with, than another follows on its heels. The relentless attacks and sabotage of all my activities, both personal and professional, have driven me to the limits of my endurance- and at times, beyond. Had I not known that God - whom I know to be the highest benevolent spiritual intelligence in the universe- was there to back me up, I'm sure I would not have survived as long as I have. I would not be here today to write this report if not for the grace of God. For the past 7 years, just TRYING TO STAY ALIVE has taken up most of my time and attention. And for those who may be wondering: No, I am not a religious zealot. I am not even a member of any organized religion. I am just a person who has always known God in my heart and that S/HE is my source of sustenance, courage and spirit-filled intuition. Back to the electronic sabotage: It's nothing new. It's been going on for the past 7 years. It is only one of the many and varied harassment tactics used by the perps in their campaign to "neutralize" me. Since I have already published some of my testimony regarding my personal history of this harassment on various websites, including my own, I will focus here mostly on the events of the past 6 months. For those who have not read my last public report, you may find it posted in the e-groups section of Rumor Mill News, dated July 20, 2000. http://www.egroups.com/message/RMNEWS_DAILY_EMAILS/1593 I would like to thank Rayelan Allen -again- for her support. While I was offline and incommunicado, she posted the link to my website on the front page of Rumor Mill News. Rayelan and I have a lot in common - and very similar (spook-filled) backgrounds- as we discovered when we read each other's published material. The first time we spoke on the phone last summer, 3 black helicopters suddenly appeared, buzzing over her home. And I didn't have to take Rayelan's word for it- I HEARD the loud, intrusive roaring of the engines and rotors right through the phone line ! They must have been flying pretty low, because even at my end they were LOUD. This form of harassment by black helicopters is nothing new to me, nor for that matter to Rayelan. In 1998 I was one of the presenters of a public seminar titled "Insider Secrets of Gov't Corruption" at the Global Sciences Congress in Daytona Beach, Fla.. Chip Tatum, ex-CIA operative, also a speaker with me, admitted to the audience that HE HIMSELF had been a helicopter pilot and had used such harassment tactics- while working for the CIA- against people like me ! The audience in this case got it right from the proverbial horse's mouth. I take my witnesses where I can get them, but I can't imagine a more credible witness than this man, who was convicted of "treason" and did jail time for exposing gov't corruption in which he himself was involved. Thanks also -again- to Jim Graf, who posted a commentary describing my plight and an urgent appeal for help for me on his Human Rights Forum. He has also been a target of many years of severe harassment. The perps know all too well that sabotaging our finances is a handy way to incapacitate us. Also, Jim has sustained such extreme physical damage from the harassment directed at him that he is now disabled and housebound most of the time. Please check out the pictures, titled Marks of Torture, posted on his website. And by all means, read his testimony. You will be outraged ! BARBARA HARTWELL'S LEGAL DEFENSE AND RESEARCH FUND WEBSITE My website has been online since May 2000. It took me SIX YEARS of serious effort to finally get my own website, due to continuing sabotage, harassment, intimidation tactics- and in certain cases, even death threats- used against people who were involved in publishing my material, whether in hardcopy periodicals or on the Internet. But as I expected, once I had my OWN website, the harassment against me and those working with me escalated dramatically, resulting in my website being "frozen" ONLY ONE MONTH after it was first constructed. It has not been updated since June, 2000. But it was AFTER I lost the services of 2 webmasters in a row and the site was frozen, that once again, all hell REALLY broke loose ! INTIMIDATION OF SUPPORTERS AND WITNESSES I have a documented and published history of the harassment and intimidation tactics used against my witnesses and supporters, but what has so far been published is only the tip of the iceberg. Although I have already published some of my testimony concerning the harassment tactics used against my first webmaster ( see above link for my report on Rumor Mill News ) it bears repeating here with some additional comments. This man, one of my oldest and dearest friends, whom I had known for 27 years, immediately became the target of extreme harassment and intimidation tactics, but ONLY after he became involved in constructing my website. I had issued to him the standard warning which I feel in good conscience I must give to ANY person who volunteers to help me in ANY way: YOU WILL BE TARGETED. I tried to explain, in great detail, how these perps operate. That they are ruthless and totally unscrupulous. That they will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they think they can get away with in order to intimidate my supporters and witnesses. Like most people, my friend did not take my warning seriously. Not until HE was targeted and it happened to HIM. The day after he constructed my website, he lost his regular job and his only source of income was cut off. He was then apparently blacklisted when applying for other jobs in his field. He was forced to take a job doing manual labor in order to meet his obligations and make ends meet. Shortly thereafter, the perps broke into his apartment in NYC and TOTALLY TRASHED the place. He came home one day to find his bathtub filled with water, covering books, photographs, electronic equipment and sundry other items. The perps destroyed much of his personal property, including his computer equipment. His hard drive was wiped out and he lost EVERYTHING. These vandals also stole copies of videotapes, audiotapes and hardcopy documents which contained my public testimony as well as that of other gov't mind control and black ops survivors. These materials were loaned to the webmaster by me. Some of the hardcopy documents were meant to be posted on my website. I have no money to replace the items which are still available to purchase. As for the others, they are irreplacable, some of which were given to me by former CIA personnel. (Yes, I know I was foolish to ever let my only copies out of my hands, but there's no help for that now.) After trashing the man's home, as a finishing touch, the perps brought in a fresh stack of flyers -hot off the photocopy machine- advertising my videotape series, which this man had designed, and scattered them all over the apartment. The goons' message was crystal clear: STAY AWAY FROM BARBARA HARTWELL ...OR ELSE.... There is also another reason I believe this man was targeted. That is because he was a witness, many years ago, beginning in 1973, to some very strange events in my life. The incidents he witnessed were such that his testimony could have helped me substantiate my claims in regard to my involvement in CIA black ops. For one thing, he witnessed me "switching" into trance states/alter personalities and being led away from public places by government agents ( some of whom presented gov't ID ) dressed in expensive suits into a waiting limousine or other gov't-issue vehicle. He wondered, those many years ago, WHY I would "disappear" for days or weeks at a time. WHY I subsequently had little or no memory of this "missing time". And WHY I carried a passport in my handbag at all times. (The reason he said I gave at the time was that since in those days I had no driver's license, it was my only form of ID.) One thing the bad guys surely don't want is witnesses ! Witnesses who might be able and willing to corroborate my testimony. But I guess these goons nixed any possibility for my old friend -and former webmaster- to be a witness on my behalf. By his own admission my ( former? ) friend won't tell me the worst of what happened to him as result of his attempts to help me. Maybe he never will. The last I heard, he wants nothing further to do with me. And what's worse, he blamed ME for what the perps did to him, even though he was forewarned. God only knows what ELSE the perps may have done -or threatened to do- to him, or what lies and slander about me with which they may have tainted his mind. But then, that would not be unusual, not in MY life. As I have come to think of quite a few of my would-be and could-have-been supporters and friends: Another one bites the dust ! But despite yet another abandonment by someone I considered a friend, I must move on..... MY CHRONICLES OF COMPUTER SABOTAGE Following is the sequence of events since June, 2000 roughly one month after my website was first put online. Suddenly one day, strange noises were coming from the tower of my computer. It was malfunctioning and repeatedly crashing for no apparent reason. Fortunately, in answer to my prayers and public appeals for help, I had just received a generous contribution from one of my supporters who had heard me on the Expert Witness Show, WBAI radio in NYC, hosted by Mike Levine, former 25-year federal agent. The lady who sent me the contribution told me she believed my testimony regarding my involvement in the CIA MKULTRA mind control program ( which she had also read on the Mind Control Forum website ) and wanted to offer financial support. So I was able to take my computer into the shop for service. The computer experts ran a diagnostic on the computer, but strangely enough they could find NOTHING wrong. Not a thing. However, thanks to the contribution I received, while the computer was in the shop I had them install a new and much larger hard drive, which I had been in need of. They simply transferred all my files to the new hard drive. As an extra precaution, I had the man who owns the computer service shop come to my home to hook up the computer and to check to see that everything was running properly. For about 2 weeks, the computer was working just fine. Then one day it happened AGAIN: anomalous malfunctions and electronic beeping coming out of the tower for no apparent reason. AGAIN, I brought the computer back to the shop. AGAIN, a diagnostic was run. But the BRAND NEW hard drive worked fine - that is, WHILE IT WAS IN THE SHOP; just like the OLD hard drive. AGAIN, they could NOT determine the nature of the problem, since the computer malfunctioned ONLY WHEN IT WAS IN MY HOME and NEVER when hooked up in the computer shop. Again, the computer experts were puzzled, to say the least. They explained that it was a very unusual situation and that they could not advise me as to what the problem was, much less what could be done to rectify it. When I asked if they had EVER encountered such a situation before, they answered that they had NOT. And so, ONCE AGAIN I brought the computer home, hoping for the best but -trying to be realistic- preparing for the worst. On the first day I brought the computer back to my home, I had a friend come to help me hook it up. The date was August 18, 2000. At first, there was no problem. For the first time in weeks, I was able to get on the Intenet. I was able to retrieve several hundred e-mail messages which had come in to my ISP while I was offline. But only MINUTES later, once again, all hell broke loose ! I had asked my friend to help me install a program which I already owned and which had been installed -for years, with NO problems connected to it- on the original hard drive. But as soon as he tried to install the CD (as I understand it, a simple procedure) the computer began to malfunction. Everything suddenly went wild ! The images on the monitor became fuzzy and distorted. When I went back into my e-mail program to see if my recently retrieved messages were still there, to my dismay, I discovered that they had been erased, EVERY LAST ONE. Not only my NEW messages, but ALL messages formerly in my inbox, dating back to June 24, had also been erased. I had not even had a chance to read my new messages, nor to see who they were from. As to the old messages, I had not had a chance to answer most of them. I immediately called the helpline for technical support on my local ISP. But -as usual- they were unable to help me. In the past I'd had SO MANY bizarre problems with my e-mail that I had literally spent HOURS on the phone with these people. The man I spoke to said he could give me NO explanation as to WHY my e-mail messages had been erased. Especially since I had closed the e-mail program and was NOT online when my friend tried to help me install the CD program. I will spare you the rest of the gory details about all the bizarre computer malfunctions. It would take pages -and hours of writing- to describe them all. Suffice it to say that ONCE AGAIN, my computer had crashed. ONCE AGAIN, I was forced offline with no communication to the outside world. This situation continued for several MORE weeks. I was in limbo. There was nothing I could do. I had no money for another diagnostic from the computer shop nor for repairs. And although I tried, I could find no one willing to help me. Finally a friend and fellow mind control survivor, who also happens to be a computer expert, came to visit me. She lives 3 hours away by car and it was her first visit to my home. With considerable effort, using her expertise, she was able to get the computer running properly again. I was able to get back online. But the hundreds of missing e-mail messages were NEVER retrieved. They had seemingly vanished into thin air. Maybe they disappeared after crossing the event horizon of a black hole. Maybe they got stuck in a time/space warp. Derailed into hyperspace ! Maybe they are now in a parallel universe ? Who knows ? Whatever the explanation for the case of the derailed e-mail, my brief good fortune -having my computer running- only lasted another week. One week later, the computer crashed AGAIN. This time, as I later learned, the crash PERMANENTLY destroyed my hard drive and wiped out all my files. This was the BRAND NEW hard drive that had been installed ONLY A COUPLE MONTHS BEFORE. ONCE AGAIN, I carted my computer back to the shop. AGAIN, I waited for a diagnosis to find out WHAT THE HELL had happened to crash my BRAND NEW hard drive. Meanwhile, I prayed ONCE AGAIN that I could somehow get the money to fix the computer. A diagnostic was AGAIN performed by the computer specialists at the shop. But unlike the past 2 times, the computer did NOT run while at the shop. Not this time.... I was told that the hard drive had been TOTALLY DESTROYED. CORRUPTED BEYOND SALVAGE. As for an explanation, none was forthcoming. The cause was unknown. No viruses were detected. No mundane or even PLAUSIBLE explanation was possible, at least not by the computer specialists.( I guess they never heard of "plausible deniability" ! ) One guy at the shop actually asked me if my house was haunted ! Yes, I said: it's haunted by spooks and I don't mean of the ghostly kind. The man who owns the shop decided to replace the hard drive at no cost to me, through a warantee by the manufacturer, since he could not determine HOW it had been destroyed. Considering my history of anomalous computer problems, which he had been witnessing -and repairing- for the past 3 years, I'm sure by this time he knew that something VERY STRANGE was going on. But I still had to pay for the labor, the diagnostic, the installation fee and for the house call. I also needed a new monitor, and other pieces of equipment, such as the best surge-arrest power strip money could buy. But I had no money. So ONCE AGAIN, while the computer sat in the shop, and the weeks crawled by, I waited. FINALLY, I got another contribution -from the same lady who heard me on the Expert Witness Show- which enabled me to pay for the new equipment and labor. So here I sit, typing on my new computer equipment. Who knows how long it will last ?....hopefully at least long enough for me to finish this report. If you're reading this, then you know I've made it this far. PLEASE NOTE: If by chance YOU are one of the MANY people who has sent me e-mail over the past 6 months, to which I have NOT responded, please know that it was NOT my intent to ignore your messages. Either I had not yet found the time to respond- due to being embroiled in constant trench warfare with the goons and spooks- or else I NEVER RECEIVED your messages. Whatever the case may be, please DO contact me again. I DO want to hear from you and I WILL respond to your messages if it is within my power to do so. OTHER JOURNALISTS UNDER FIRE BY CYBER-GOONS Once I got back online, although I was able to retrieve hundreds of e-mail messages which had come in to my ISP while I was offline and incommunicado, I noticed that the number of daily e-mail messages I receive has now dwindled dramatically. In the past I was used to getting AT LEAST 50 messages per day. I found the declining flow of e-mail suspicious, especially due to the fact that my WEBSITE http://www.ulster.net/~babs7/ was getting a lot more hits, thanks to people like Rayelan Allen, George Farquar, Project Freedom: http://www.profreedom.free4all.co.uk/index.html and Jim Graf, who posted the link to my site on their home pages. If anything , I should be getting MORE e-mail, not less. Whatever the case may be, I've had MANY problems -for years- with my e-mail -both incoming and outgoing- being wiped out, derailed, diverted, etc. ad nauseum, by the cyber-spooks, these hardworking folks who are ALWAYS roosting -like the cowardly chickens they are- on my phone and computer lines. ( Really, don't they have anything more constructive to do ? I guess not. ) For once, I'd like to meet one of these guys in the flesh. Then at least I could have a REAL confrontation. But that's not likely, not in this life. But is THIS really a LIFE ? I have to wonder. Seems to me more like a VIRTUAL life, the battles with my enemies waged on the slippery and ever-shifting battlefield of cyber-space. I personally would prefer to slug it out with these thugs on my own turf. But then, being the lily-livered, spineless cowards they are, FAT CHANCE ! Anyway, shortly after getting back online, I noticed that something similar was happening to the NewsHawk bulletins I received. The bulletins arrived on my screen either as blank pages or else filled with symbols and gobbledegook. I e-mailed John Quinn, a friend and fellow journalist, who runs NewsHawk, to let him know that I was a witness to what was happening to his news bulletins. I did not hear back from John, though I sent several e-mails. As it turned out, he only received ONE of the several e-mails I sent. Finally I spoke to him on the phone. It was only THEN that we were able to compare notes on the cyber-terrorism and sabotage we had both been subjected to. The last I heard, the "BushMobCyber-Goons" (as John calls them) had threatened the life of a legal advisor working to help NewsHawk collect evidence to file suit against the perps. Incredible ! Like my Legal Defense and Research Fund, NewsHawk is only a small operation run on a shoestring budget by donations and small subscription fees. You have to wonder WHY IN HELL these cyber-terrorists would be expending so much energy and time, deploying their technological resources against people like US. Maybe- just maybe- they feel threatened by the fact that we are TELLING THE TRUTH about their illegal covert ops and atrocious violations of human and constitutional rights. What I DO know is that even one small operation, run by a couple of dedicated human rights activists -like John Quinn and Bob Anderson of NewsHawk- can pose a BIG problem for the corrupt powers-that-be ! So for those who are still wondering if ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE ? please consider these words: "In a time of universal deceit, TELLING THE TRUTH is a revulutionary act.
