From: Rayelan, Publisher RMNews

To: Rumor Mill News Readers,

We have had our prayers and our diligent work answsered with success. I want to thank
all of you who have written letters and sent faxes of Les's behalf. This shows each
and everyone of us, that working together, we CAN make a difference.

I have not spoken to Les since he has been free. I am including an email I received
today from Doretta, who has been the person keeping all of us up to date on what has
been happening to Les.

The last time I spoke with Les, we discussed his joining Rumor Mill News when he was
released in February. I told him that his Forum is up and running -- (with one glitch
that has to be fixed -- does anyone understand cgi bin? If so, please contact me) --
Les will be taking over his Forum as soon as he has settled in.

Here is the email from Doretta -- as soon as I have more information I will pass it
on. In the meantime, keep checking in with the Les Coleman Inside/Out Forum on the
front page of http://www.rumormillnews.com (To view all the articles in this Forum,
you have to set the preferences each time you visit -- this is the glitch -- the
cookie was removed and the forum will not remember the preferences you set the last
time you were there)

>From Doretta regarding the release of Les Coleman

Les is staying with a close friend in Lexington. He spent the night at Mary-Claude's
apartment with the children, who wouldn't let him out of their sight. They are simply
overwhelmed.

10:30 yesterday (Thursday) Les was told to report to the prison secretary's office.
She informed him that he must pack.

"I just got here," said Les, thinking they were going to transfer him back to Atlanta.
"I'm not going anywhere."

"You don't understand, Mr. Coleman," said the secretary. "You're going home."

Les was told that the Attorney General's office had ordered his immediate release.

He was given papers stating that he had been wrongly held since July 25, 2000, which
was to have been his ACTUAL release date. In other words, the government credited him
for the entire time he was jailed in Lexington awaiting trial.

The government owes him $300 per day for every day he was imprisoned after that date.
He must file a tort claim to receive it, but there you have it.

Les suffered endless transfers ILLEGALLY over a period of many months. He suffered
malnutrition, declining health, abuse (potentially life-threatening) and the loss of
his freedom and rights because of bureaucratic apathy and a broken justice system, not
to mention keeping his testimony from being introduced at the Lockerbie/PanAm 103
Trial.

He was driven BY PRIVATE CAR to the Campbell House Hotel in Lexington. From there, he
was driven to his friend's home and then to Mary-Claude's apartment.

Les is so overcome with emotion. I told him to take each step slowly and to enjoy his
children over the next few days. I have documents I will forward to Mike Meehan (his
atorney) for him and will scrapbook his letters etc. for his reading pleasure!!

I'll be posting another INSIDE/OUT column for him tonight. He'll take it from there.

Raye, thank you so much for everything you have done for Les, for me, and for everyone
who reads your web site. You're one of the earthly angels. If you'd like to post any
of the above, go ahead.

Blessings!

Love,
Doretta

>From Rayelan:

We will soon post an address where you can write Les. Hopefully some of you will be
able to send some money for Christmas presents for his three children. Even though it
appears that Les will soon receive some funds from the government, it will probably
take months for him to get this. In the mean time, I am sure Les needs money right now
for simple things like taking the kids to MacDonalds for lunch.

I know that the twin boys want a scooter -- Sears has the best -- The Razor, for
$70.00. (I know this because my son wanted one also.) The Razor is the original. The
copies have defects that have caused over 3,000 serious accidents for children.
