I would imagine that, when first introduced, they would be a new 'toy'
for rich boys to play with and be attached with a certain status symbol.
However, like most inventions, they would then become much cheaper and
available to the masses, much like home computers. And as we know, boys
will be boys! Just joking! Not really. What I find interesting about
this article (in addition to its potential for social control) is that,
while it remains fairly neutral in discussing sex in general, it would
seem to me to be more technically challenging to design a male bot that
would satisfy a woman. But if they did, I bet there would be a lot
fewer headaches in the world!
