-Caveat Lector- I agree with you and if it were averaged out over a longer time period of perhaps 1,000 years, all this weather would be found. I just wish there were some sort of "test" or reading of some measurements to definitely say if it is being modified or not. That would not answer the "why" but at least we would know.
