Unfortunately, this will never happen. I am an atheist, and nothing would make me
happier than seeing humanity finally come to its senses and let go of it's
addiction
to superstitious drivel. But it will not happen. People are cowards. They refuse
to
acknowledge the reality and permanence of death even in the face of the scientific
advances made in the last few centuries.

This is more likely to happen. It appears that Judaism, and particularly
Christianity, are on their way out. Not exactly for the same reasons though.
Christianity as a world view is crumbling. With education available to more
people, basic Christian dogma is harder to contain in the same brain where
science also resides. Virgin births and walking on water just don't jibe with
a population who understand biology, and physics.
There are places though, where Christianity is spreading. South America, parts
of Asia, and Africa. Places where education is not widespread.
What is happening in the West, is that people are leaving the old well defined
religions for the new vague, fuzzy, squishy, New Age types of " spiritualism "
which allows them the leeway to believe in superstitious drivel without having
to deal with the old defunct paradigms.
