YOU comfortable living on Indian land? Why don't some of you give up your
homes
to the Mexican families of the Southwest whose lands your ancestors stole,
chiseled, and started wars for? Why don't you give up your home to a nice
Indian or Mexican family and get the hell back to Europe where you came from?

It's real big of you to feel self righteous about expecting that from someone
else when you don't even think about doing it yourself. Why don't you clean
your own house before you stick your nose into some body else's business half
 a world away. >>

It is strange then that Palestinians speak of losing olive trees that they
have harvested for eons. Palestine was not a barren country awaiting
settlement. There were many people who lived there. Most of them do not
live there now. I have a little experience with borders. I lived an hour by
truck from the Iraqui border with Turkey. It was not a completely
comfortable place to be during the Gulf War.

No I am not happy to be living on Indian land. I'm the second generation to
be born in the United States, so I at least do not have to know that my
people had a hand in the tormenting, killing and maneuvering of the people
who lived in this country when the settlers arrived. They too were reviled
for defending their land from invading strangers. And you're right to bring
it up, because it is the exact same thing. It is something we can deplore,
but we cannot change it and would not if we could. People will have land,
and they will take it at every opportunity. What Israel is and has done is
perfectly normal. If they wish to survive they must do exactly what they are
doing. The Palestinians, however, have a right to fight even though they
will lose.
