In the Bartow, GA, example, the Republicans did not run unopposed in all
local elections.

local level as Democrats in the South and always have.

I have proven that your blanket statements are untrue.

Please show me where you said that. This is what you stated:

"If I want to select a Republican primary candidate, I would be given a
ballot with only those of that party which would be locally blank. And of
course one cannot vote in both. It would require me to give up voting for
any local offices to vote in the Republican primary."

and

"ALL local politics have been handled by the Democratic party ...."

and

"Therefore, now actually read this, all local offices are run as a contest
among Democrats."

Fine, and perhaps that is true, but it isn't what you said at all.

Florida, especially southern Florida, is a melting pot.

This and other personal slams I also take issue with. Before this, because
I responded to what appeared to be a clear statement you posted about Bessie
Smith that there were reports that her driver was turned away but Bessie was
not because she was DOA, I am accused of bashing the elderly. Because
another poster understood that Bessie being turned away was likely true, you
bashed her viciously and personally.

I am not the one making ridiculous blanket statements, demanding what I say
be taken as fact. You are. And then you mock me for coming off as a
"know-it-all."

> Your research did not show how many counties held only Democratic
primaries.

I don't take issue with the trends you claim, but with your blanket
statements, period.

Pointing out the reasons behind a generally Democratic trend on the local
level in the South is helpful. Through the miasma of personal insults and
blanket statements of so-called fact, I did learn something I hadn't known.
I appreciate the info, even though it came dressed like a bullet wrapped in
shards of glass.

You know, you defend a President-Select I find abhorrent and a region of
the country I have had horrid personal experience with. That you do so
making easily refuted blanket statements and using an immature
personal-attack style that nullifies your credibility is fine with me. I
like it when people I strongly disagree with create credibility issues for
themselves.

Yes, it is. My bad. By the way, it is nonpartisan, not "non-partisan,"
overrun, not "over-run," prove, not "proove."
