-Caveat Lector- Today on CNN was an item about a fifty million dollar law suit in as I recall New York City, not related to the incident at Long Island where this policeman is allleged to have ordered or whatever these "ladies" to strip....the one did without even being asked. And then this today involving people already in jail and do do with strip searches, etc., and oh you should have seen these emotionally disturbed people in the slammer - searached by Correction Officers? Is a legal question now being heard by the Federal Courts and I am thinking it gave a lot of people a lot of ideas. Now the women suing in Long Island, asked for $15 million each.....these people who were in the slammer in last few years, may get the 50 million dollars - ranging from $250.00 each to more, depending on how emotionally, etc., you were hurt.......the charges were lessor offenses and just big mess.... Sounds like a scam here somewhere....the Mayor of New York said when you had people in jail like this at corrections the searches were necessary because if stopped - someone could have a razor and cut somebodies throat, or an innocent on a lessor charge could be hurt. So for $15 million dollars each in Long Island - sounds like someone got onto a good idea and found a lawyer. The lawyers now came out and said there was a settlement, but nobody with the City or system knows anything about a settlement so the lawyer is out drumming up business. Big rip off - the taxpayers will pay through the nose...........serves you right, New York City. That will teach you........probably Clinton going into law practice?
