OK, nobody rose to the bait, so I'll answer my own question. It was
rhetorical, anyway. The point I'm trying to make is that America's
morality has been on very shaky ground since before America even
existed. We need to start defining our morality, not just by how we
treat each other, but by how we treat the people around us. There's a
reason so much of the world hates us. We're a nation of greedy bullies.
We are but six percent of the world's people but we consume sixty
percent of the world's energy. We routinely use our military might to
push little nations around. People on every continent go hungry, and we
grow lawn grass. It's enough to make a truly moral person puke.
