Yes. It obviously is. But it has nothing to do with love. It is the result
of successful social evolution.

Your premise is logical but wrong. Logic is only a human construct. Nature
is. Hierarchy is the norm. Nature allows for change and experimentation. It's
called evolution. You only have to look at the history of humans to determine
whether or not we are " hardwired " for hierarchy. It goes back a long way
into our anthropoid development. Hardwired in social evolution is not hard.
It's more like " firmwired." It must be stable enough to be continuous, but
flexible enough to deal with changeable conditions and environments.

That's because they know we are hardwired for hierarchy. Yes people don't want
to be at the bottom, but they don't mind not being at the top either. The
middle is good. Hence it's OK to be middle class but not low class.
