Interesting. I find it quite amazing that as important as the
environment is in my book, when I read the article, it never even
crossed my mind??
What was going thru my mind when I read it (and what I was
implying with my comment below), was:
1) the incredible amount of human death and suffering we've had
in wars over oil in the past century (even the outcome of wars
being based on availability of petroleum),
2) how much of the global GNP is based/depends on the price of a
barrel of crude, and, of course,
3) *if* the article is true (and, again, I know that credible
geologists have been advancing the theory that oil is formed by
bacterial action that has nothing to do with organics, etc., for
at least 6-7 years), I thought about how wild it is that the
global oil market is all fake....that the one commodity that the
entire modern world is so utterly, completely, and *inescapably*
reliant on, is totally artificial!!
...What immediately came to my mind was that, if true, the price
of oil, and thus the economic balance of the entire world,
is...??, is...??, ...well, for lack of better phraseology, the
entire world totally revolves around NOTHING!
It's like diamonds, baseless paper currencies, etc., etc., only
more so....MUCH more so!
I concluded that my previous conclusions regarding our world were
correct. Namely, that we live in an evil, evil, place...called
Earth.
It's things like this that occasionally make me sometimes think
that *if* there is a Loving God in Heaven, that I feel so very,
very sorry for Him/Her...at how utterly abominable His/Her
"Creation" turned out, that I could cry.
Shalom,
Mike
